I doubt that Dinafem is doing actual recombinant-type genetic modification, or rather is doing this in an EU/European country. With Europe the home for anti-genetic engineering activism and bias, and with some related very strict or even irrational regulations, the company would surely be doing this somewhere else, such as in the US. Dinafem has reported having a 'secret' (exact location that is) field testing/breeding facility in central Africa (see https://www.dinafem.org/en/blog/Dinafem-heart-africa/).
I presume it much more likely that Dinafem has a genetic analysis, next-generation sequencing operation in-house, and is likely using gene probes/PCR and detecting for specific gene expression or inhibition to guide seed breeding (select specific crosses). I doubt within the EU that any established 'breeder' is doing actual seed genetic modification, which would require complex regulatory filings/approvals and related public disclosure. If any company in the EU was making and test growing recombinant seeds, I presume that would already be public knowledge.

Yes I have had excellent luck with fastbuds as well. These XL plants can take a little longer to get into flower. Seeds will never be totally consistent, it is part of the science of evolution. You don't get to talk to the guy that bred your f1 hybrid burpee tomato or seedless watermelon.
Seems like we are chasing our tails here. At the end of the day if it's good smoke it's good seed. In any large market there will always be punters that want to jump on the gravy train and make a quick buck but you gotta ask how much damage is this actually doing to the cannabis industry? Are these "breeders" bringing down the quality of the larger cannabis gene pool and lowering the overall experience of the consumer? Probably not.
I would think we should be a lot more concerned about the big corporate guys that trying to get their grubby paws on the market. FB having better marketing than legitimate genetics doesn't bother me nearly as much as Monsato wanting to take actual ownership of cannabis genetics does.

Now THAT I can agree with about Monsanto. Scotts, the lawn company, have been making serious inroads buying up companies as well. They are not a nice player either and are owned by Monsanto.

They hide like Nestle does.

We can damage their income stream by sharing information a new grower might be unaware and about to make his first nute line purchase if we can stop those dollars going into the pocket of GH then that's a win for everybody.
You would be surprised how much they care about their rep in these grass roots online communities. Without buyers they don't have any power.
Monsanto? There is no such company! Monsanto owns nothing, is defunct, nonexistent.

You see not many people are willing to pay upward of $800 for a pack of seeds.

But these are the same fools complaining about a $50 pack of seeds.
Let put in perspective. 1000 seeds @ $500 a ten pack. 1000/10 = 100. 100 packs x $500 each Total =$50,000 is that real to you?
But anywho there is a solution.
So they buy cheaper packs from secondary breeders who are simply chucking jbeezy’s work.
if that’s too much money for you to spend, you can always go to guys like this one, or ilgm, or seedstockers and a host of other who just blatantly reverse jbeezy or anyone else’s work and sell it as if it is there own. Are you one of these guys bro?¿
It’s quite possible that you are even too cheap for that and like to hang out in places like strainly. This is where people go to buy unknowns strains from unknown people and pretend like they are buying the real deal.
At strainLy, you can get anything at any price. Just as long as you are willing to fork over the cash. It’s crazy messes up what people will do to separate hard working people from their $$$$
