New Grower Danielsaaan’s Mephisto Sour Stomper

Maybe I’ll give them all a good watering tomorrow. I legit thought I was overwatering them. Awful at this…

Like I said before your not awful by any means you've had a few nice harvests some folks don't even mange that. I think the best thing you can do is not worry so much about watering as long as your giving them a couple days between watering's they will be fine once they are this age:headbang::pass:

Day 40 / 38: Watered the 3 gallon on Thursday, and the 5 gallons today. Ph 6.5 with Quillaja and Recharge. Slow and in sessions with a sprayer til a little runoff. Pots are nice and heavy. Temps 76F, RH 50, DLI: ~39. Just hoping I can get any to harvest!

I feel your pain…proper watering in bags by hand was very tedious. Since you have space for 5g pots, you should consider using SIPs (like GroBuckets) next time. I grow in decent organic soil only, and watering at your growth stages now is quick, easy and almost foolproof for me, fwiw :baked:.

Will look into this. Thank you!

Day ~43. Decided to cut my losses on the one and try to focus more on the others. Watered all plants til slight runoff. PH 6.2 with Quillaja. Temps: 76F, RH: 48, DLI: 38. Was definitely underwatering. Was letting the pots dry out a bit too much (way too much). Need to stop being so paranoid of overwatering (especially once plants are established) but it’s kind of drilled into new growers and it’s happened to me before… Will try to be better. Hopefully there are enough leaves to get ‘em to the end. Natural defoliation hah!

they will make it. The only way they wont if you quit watering them. Ive never had a plant die. And had some look worse then yours still made it. you got this bud. now that you got the idea I bet it will all click into place now man. And Ive had some issues with thinking I could go another day in them rain science bags and then they are dropping the next day so I would agree. It’s probably easier (at this stage for sure) to underwater them then over in rs bags. I run 2 gals and I was watering I think 1/2 gal every 3 days or so.

Slowly grasping things! Is it okay to water this way from the very beginning? As long as I’m allowing the soil to dry back a bit? As in water slowly til slight runoff, wait til pot loses half the water weight, repeat? That way the soil never dries out and there aren’t dry pockets? Or should I wait a few weeks to do that - when the plants are a little more established?
I feel like my plants outgrew my watering habits quickly, and the bottom of the pot was likely dry for a bit…
Appreciate the help!
