Hello all!
I've been reading this forum for a couple days now and I have finally decided to start an outdoor growing on my balcony. I've thought on doing an auto as I prefer a faster first grow. I took a look at some auto seeds and the Dinafem Critical+ 2.0 really catched my eye, although I am still considering which strain to grow.

Further than that, i have some questions on which substrate and nutrients would be the most suitable ones for an auto outdoor growing, taking into consideration that I dont have a very high budget (i was thinking of spending around 30$ on both the substrate and nutrients).

I would really appreciate any advice you guys could give me, either on the substrate and nutrients matter, which strain and/or seed house you would recommend or any other advice you think I could use.

Thanks!

Welcome burricios,
are u growing only one plant or more?

I would suggest organic growing, cheap and easy. Get a 15L pot, fill with a good potting soil and get some bloom nutrients like BioBizz, Plagron , Canna or some other brand. I have very little knowledge on nutes, I don't use them much. Be careful not to overfertilise and overwater, make some protection against sunrays for the pot, it's better not to have too hot roots.
If you can, move the plant indoors at night, to get more biomass during the short veg period, maybe also during flowering.

All should cost just around 20-30 bucks, roughly estimated.

Keep it simple and good luck.

Get some black strap unsulphored mollasses 3$ at The Market, u can use it through out The plants life and get some alaskan fish fert 4.98$ at the homedepot, also grab some kelp 9.99$ also at the Depot. Ypu can use The kelp through out The plants life. Grab some jamaican bat poo 7$ for flowering and male teas. So ur wopping total for nutes is around 25$ learn alot and ask questions. People on This sight no there shit. Im on my first grow and my plants Look Amazing. Also let them dry out autos hate to be overwatered. I feed my girls 1\2 gallon every 4-6 days

Hi Balarama,
Than you your your answer! I am only going to grow a single plant, as i prefer to do things right on this first grow, and I am also a bit worried about the smell the plant could give to nearby houses. So, if I understand properly you are suggesting to simply use soil and keep the nutrients for the bloom phase right?
What do you mean with protection against sunrays? How would you do it?
I can't move the plant inside at night as I am still living with my parents and they would definetly not like having a grower as son... or at least knowing about it haha
Thank you for your advice!

P.S: which strains are you growing? what can you tell me about plant height and smell on those strains from your experience? Thanks again!

Thanks for your advice, although that seems a bit complicated haha. Could you post some pics of your babes? And maybe tell me about the strains, height and smell they have? I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi burricios
for protection against hot sun just use more reflective pots(white is much better than dark/black) or just add some foil around the pots for reflection.

I grow photos and superautos, had a grow with DP's Think different and autoX. The superautos are not stealthy:) can grow very large, so not your pick I presume:)
Tha DP plants can be grown very well in good conditions, but AX can also grow big, while TD was pretty stinky in my case.

For a nice balcony plant maybe try StarRyder(DP), it's been a long time since I heard of a grow, but nice buds.
Also HighRise's Ghaze99 auto should be a nice smoke.

Hi balarama,
Thanks about the pot colour, will definetly follow your advice.
I am thinking of using Canna Terra Professional and "Bio Bloom - BioBizz" for the flowering stage. ¿Do you guys that will work? ¿Does the Canna Terra Professional PLUS worth the difference with the one im thinking to use?
Thank you!

I don't know about the nutes, but if you plan on using them, get a light mix rather than rich organic soil.
Better for control.
