Nute burn...
So a couple got a bit burned (and are beginning to Claw), others hungry for more. Guess I’ll drop to 600, I have to cater to my weakest plant. My usual approach is more Ghengis Khan than Richard Simmons, but I guess it’s time to do some hand holding. Still getting rust spots, which is probably a Ca issue, but again not affecting them all. Oh the fun of 9 seed-plants all running off the same res... still beats hauling all those buckets.

Foliar CalMag?
So I've convinced myself I have CA deficiency, my starting water is only 46 ppm! GH recommends adding calmag to the flora 3 part, so obviously I should add it. But it takes up so much ec! I don't want to waste my limited salt strength on mostly cal mag. Anyone have any ideas?

Ummm....
This is really crazy, they drank 150 ppm, 2 gallons and dropped the ph a whole point in 12 hours! (As well as sucking most of the color out of the solution) I

had forgotten how powerful dwc is. And how touchy. They are finally just starting to flower (seems late, but these are my first autos, so I really don’t know). 3 Stretched like crazy. 6 not so much. I’m baffled by the spotting. Adding Ca didn’t help, leaving it out didn’t help, I’m just admitting defeat on this, luckily it doesn’t seem catastrophic. This has certainly made me rethink my plan to double my plant count in that room. Would probably be courting disaster. Anyway, more pics if anyone’s following!

These plants are exploding. Finally beginning to flower (week 6). Need nitrogen, but sticking to 1:1:1 m:g:b ratio for transition. They are dropping the ppm 200 points in 12 hours, 4 gallons water drank.
Am I courting disaster keeping my res topped with occasional double strength added Very Slowly? I know it’s not going to be balanced, but otherwise I’m going to have to change my res every 2-3 days. Screw that. They’re certainly putting them to good use. And now I’m struggling to get my humidity below 65, whereas before I could barely get it over 50 with double humidifiers running constantly. I feel like they’d benefit from a higher vpd, probably be more beneficial than the co2..
Anyway, more pics! Grown dramatically in a few days ...

9 in 4x4......
Well I knew it would be a little cramped with 9 plants in a 4x4 footprint, but I really wasn’t expecting them to grow THIS much! Ones in back are 3’ tall, 1” diameter stems. This far red definitely has powerful effects. I have more lights and more room, I was originally going to just double this setup but that’s obviously dumb. Next time going 2sq’ each plant, with trellis. I will say that despite the complete lack of training, I couldn’t be happier with the shape, all the branch tops have formed a nice even canopy on their own.
I REALLY don’t want to reconfigure the whole setup. It’s possible, and I’m pretty dedicated, but I think I’m just going to ride it out. And as far as the spots being from excess N locking out Ca, they’re pretty yellow, definitely not getting excess N. Suki813 suggested a P problem, could be, if so hopefully the bloom nutes will fix it. Sprayed one with calmag, just to see, not expecting much. Still feeding and drinking heavy, though now the ph is stable and rising slightly (I feel like that means something important I should know...)

Still trace of powdery mildew, and pretty heavy leaf hoppers, but I’m not going nuclear about it. Anybody happen to know of an effective predatory insect for leaf hoppers?
Anyway, more pics.

Fuuuuckkkkk......
Well they’ve finally outgrown my system. I really wasn’t expecting 5 foot plants with 1.5 inch stems. The roots are taking up at least 3 gallons of space, leaving me with 17 gallons max, for nine monsters. I’m going to clean out the tubes, and turn the pump down to minimum (should’ve done that originally). I REALLY don’t want to prune the roots, but I may not have any choice. They’re flowering nicely, but this is cutting it very close. Guess I didn’t stunt them after all! Will I pull it off? Or will my basement flood, plants die and I slink away in shame and infamy? Stay tuned to find out....

Ahhhh....
Problem solved! A friendly elf came by to help, and I took the whole thing down and spaced them out. I had to evict the runt into its own bucket, but now everything has plenty of room. Went from 16 sq ft to 32. Wayyyy better. I don’t know how I thought I was gonna pull that off... must’ve been high or something....
