New Grower 1st grow: white widow and green-o-matic

Just ordered my beans today so it's gonna be a while.
Going to do this outdoors due to roommates and such.
Got a forest right by the house so i don't mind going over every day.
I need some help though as this is my first time.

I am thinking about lst for maximum yield.
For nutes, was thinking about the foxfarm trio, alongside superthrive.
I am still deciding on whether or not I should dig a hole or use a pot.

Please help with the following:
Nutrients?(are these sufficient)
Soil?(I am using a lot of bytes so what should be my soil comp)
Pot?(if I use a pot, how big)

So the seeds arrived 1 week ago, and nothing is going right.
I was germinating both in a cup of water, but 1 hasnt even started to crack after 8 days.
The other one cracked and a small tap root came out, so i took it out of the water to put into medium.
When i was doing so the skin from the seed came off, so everything is white and exposed.
Will this seed still grow?

White Widow: dead seed
Green-o-matic: Nekked seed

I bought these from Single seed centre, would they give my money back or replace the ungerminated seed?
