New Grower 250 watt hps

4 feet wide, 5 feet tall, 2 feet thick grow tent, 2 gallon air pots. How many auto-flowers can i grow under this light 2 or 3 maybe? thanks in advance.

im going for 3 large plants 3x1

or 8 small plants 4x2 (sog style)
ps you will struggle with a 250w hps over the 4ft length with out some side lighting

Don't forget you can drop a couple of strategically placed cfls into the shady areas should there be any. 42 watt cfls are great for that.

okay guys thanks! I had plans of getting a 400 watt hps, but that might be out of reach for now. If it's best I wait until its obtainable than I will. I just want to have a plan in case i can not get the new lighting. will know in a few days. If I can or not.

I did 3 autos under 250w... Did around 3 dry oz..first indoor grow.

Well I decided to just spend the money. So I ordered the HTG 400 watt system Sice their 250 hps seems to treat me okay. Now I'm wishing I would of ordered the 3 gallon air pots instead of the 2 gallon ones i purchased.

Man 6 autos under the 400? Sheesh taking care of 6 plants my second run would probably just drive me crazy dealing with 6 plant issues:jaw: lol. Gonna do it just for the experience. Just need to figure out a good strain to run along side the ARK's. I need to ask, and yes i did read the "how to ditch the dealer" but my question. Can i veg the 6 plants under the 250 watt hps? or should i be running the 400 for the 6 during veg? or should i just get a mh (conversion) bulb? gonna order 3 three gallon air-pots, Friday when i order my nutes. Was wanting to try that Bio-Nova AutoFlowering SuperMix. Seems like that would be easiest for me. On the other hand, the majority seem to favor Advanced Nutes. I just want to keep it as simple as I can. I just know i want to ditch this 3 part General Hydroponics I used this run.
