I have 3 afghan kush ryder's and a purple kush from buddha seeds. They are all 6 weeks from seed.

Under 600w HPS cooltube (440CFM with fan control)
4x4 tent 67-72 night / 75-79 day. rh 55-65%
Fox Farm Happy Frog. FF TRIO nutes + cal mag. ph 6.5
I use tap water, comes out at 8.0. Use natural ph down by viagrow.
week1-water
week2-water
week3-1/2 tsp grow big
week4 tsp big bloom
week5 1/2 tsp tiger bloom + 1/2 cal-mag (botincare)
week6 (yesterday) fed tsp tiger bloom + tsp cal-mag (5ML to a gallon)

I've went lite on the nutes as I am not to familiar with feeding auto's. Just looked at Tang's AN recipe and can't wait to try it.

I'm troubled between a cal-mag deff. and K - that being said I fed them some good food, hoping they finish well - I don't want to mess this stage up.

Not the best camera - Just want to keep my girls healthy

I understand during flowering the buds pull from the leaves. They tend to yellow as they lose nitrogen and take from the leaves. My question is this, I want to finish these strong. Any input appreciated. Thank you guys.

Hey! Glad to see your post. I'm still a bit new so someone will be along who has an answer for you. I believe however from reading, a K deficiency is rare. Yours may be cal/mag. My not repost this on the 24/7 help thread? you may get an answer faster.

Yeah, the yellowing plus brown spots started 3-4 days ago. Hoping the cal-mag helps since fox farm lacks it in the trio. Didn't know there was a 24/7 help thread, I will have to give them a shout. ty pop22

Hello Pistils,

To me it does look like Cal/mag. I am surprised that you are having this kind of problem under HPS. Usually it is an LED problem, but not that it doesn't happen, just not so often.

See how they look after the next feeding.

Also, when you add nutrients to your water, are you checking the water's PH before or after you add the nutrients? You should check both initially. then after, at least until you know what your working with, then only the ph'd water, and the runoff.

So when using unknown ph'd water, check after you add the nutrients, not before, because the added nutrients can change the ph level.

Check those and get back to us, okay? Cool

Peace

Wow, that's interesting (cal-mag deff. with LED). I check the ph out of the tap, and after adding nutes if feeding, then adjust to 6.5-6.8 . I'm hoping they like the cal-mag feeding.

I will let you guys know how they respond to the cal-mag.

Some leaves got necrosis and fell off one of the akr's. They all recieved 6.5 ph'd water today. I'm scared they might have some kind of plant virus. Maybe fert burn? maybe a few deficiencies....:dunno:

4x4x6 tent - 175 cfm out with carbon filter
they are 8-12" away from cool tube, which is cool to touch.

Not sure what's going on, here's some pics.

I have on hand

Advanced Nutrients Micro 2-0-0
Botinicare Cal-Mag 2-0-0
Botinicare Clearex (can feed and use clearex 3-4 days before chop if need be)
Fox Farm Big Bloom 0.1-0.3-0.7
Fox Farm Grow Big 6-4-4
Fox Farm Tiger Bloom 2-8-4
Super Thrive
Viagrow Ph up - Ph Down

Not really sure where to go from here....last feedings...1 tsp tiger bloom + 1 tsp cal-mag..3 days later.. 2 tsp of big bloom and 1 tsp organic unsulphured molasses...plain water 12 hr ago...I was on a feed/water/water schedule....every 3-4 days using lift pot method...also look at soil..

use the 6-4-4- + a cal/mag once you have done a flush and they are ready for a watering , dont keep watering/flushing/feeding UNTIL they are ready each time

effected leaves may continue dieing off , watch new growth , if new and younger leaves respond well then you solved your issue , if the issue continues on to the younger and new growth then id think the roots have been effected/burnt/ or rotted

best of luck and peace
