Ok, very very quick resume of what happened, my grow is in the sig.

Brought up photo's from seed. had 125w CFL + 120w actual power draw LED (blackstar 240w 7 bands with UV)

They loved it so much they actually bent towards the LED! The CFL was right above, the LED was almost twice as far to the right, at an angle.

Tried everything, but this is what happened days later...

Tried everything, nothing worked They got ALOT worse than these pics and almost died... all 5 of them! (ignore that grassling, dunno how it got there, but obviously removed)

Even contacted Canna, and they suggested to go back to HID, so I did, and
a week later, big big growth, and a joy-ride since then! They are growing like crazy and super super healthy.

Weeks later, I am just about to switch to 12/12.

So I decided to fire the LED as supplemental light to even further boost growth. Within 2 days, I got the same symptoms back. (I've since expanded my grow to 9 plants, DP's Ortega, Night Queen and the new CBD Skunk Haze)

The only thing different (new) is the almost white spots on the Skunk Haze

These are just a few rogue troublesome leaves. 97% is very very healthy. Lets hope it stays that way!!

I switched off the lights (2 days) and I don't feel the problem is continuing, but its early to really know I guess...
Its not nute burn, as the feed is the same EC at around 1.6, pH 5.8

What the heck is going on?

Thats really strange.Maybe you have your led lights to close and there getting burned or for some reason your strains just don't like led lights. Make sure your PH is right and keep using the hid lights.

SUBBED .makes your post in my thread more understandable now!..i have to say ive had all my babys (10+now) die/stunt/burn/curl/yellow, but never thought of the LED ....But they where all at different stages & none ever curled up like some in your pics... i think thats the LED to close ?? theres an LED only thread & i think J TanG is a bit of an expert on them .you can prob find him there as well ... i will keep this in mind but hope i just have a bit of nute burn for now !
:peace:& hope you sort it out bud

Yeah, it looks ugly, but they're ok and will thrive...

This would be a great brainstorming session if more experienced folk join this debate...

Just curious, do you spray your plants down a lot? Wasn't it piggy that said that maybe the soil was hot with nutes or something... This is really boggling my mind..

How close are the lights to the plants. General rule of thumb is you want your lights 8" or more away from the canopy...any closer and yeah, they'll probably burn a bit. It's something we've seen before, but in my experience with the Blackstar 240 (my primary germing/veg light) I've never had that problem.

Using coco, Canna A&B, Rhizo and Cannazym, Liquid Silicon and Cal Mag.

Nothing sprayed on them. No foliar feed, no foliar wash, no misting, nothing.

pH is always ALWAYS between 5.6 - 5.9.

8" (20cm) or more was tested when they were babies (but many other things went wrong too!) I didn't measure but I would say I was around that mark, maybe I could raise it a little more, but I suspect its not that, then again I'll have to test again... Heck, Seymour has one of his plants trying to invade the LED, literally bending because they hit the light.

The Blackstars are flowering oriented, much more reds than blue's, its the only reasonable explanation that the plants dont like it. But it doesnt make sense, they are photos, not auto's, and auto's are much more sensitive to light than photo's, they should be handling it comfortably...

Anyways, today is the 12/12 switch, gonna let the HID for now until proper healthy growth comes back, then in a couple of weeks I will fire them up again at about 16" (40cm) and see what happens.

In the meantime I'd like to invite anyone to just throw out any theories around, I've run out :ama:

Hay dude so sorry your having problems. Can you tell me a little about the spectrum mainly the ratio of 660nm to 630nm. If your light has more 630nm than 660nm it's not the ideal spectrum, my friend had a light with this spectrum and its not good for his plants.

The exact same thing happen too me,,,,with the same blackstar knock-off. I put up a t5 instead,,,I don't think I can raise mine high enough?
