New Grower About to kill 2 perfectly healthy dark devil sprouts because the third wont pop...

I have 3 sweet seeds dark devils that are sprouting in rockwool.

All 3 germinated in paper towels in record time (pretty impressive sweet seeds).

Only 2 of them popped out of the wool (all 3 germed fine, I probably drowned the 3rd in the wool), and I am starting to think the third is dead...

If that is true, I am planning on killing the other 2, because my system is a 3 plant system (shared rez) and I will need 3 of the same strain (I don't have any more dark devil seeds), because mixing strains means that the nutes will probably not work for each strain (each one has a specific strength they want the feed).

Am I crazy for thinking like this?

Should I just germ a la diva, throw her in the third spot and hope for the best?

Otherwise I am planning on throwing out all 3 and germing 3 more seeds and trying again... or just not growing any more weed because this shit is so unrewarding....

Any ideas guys?

Honestly dudes I think I hate growing weed... and I think maybe I need to just accept that. No matter how many things I try and how much I prep I cannot get things to just work... There is always some giant pitfall that stops me from being able to proceed in a way that might result in an OK grow god damn it... Theory and practice are always miles apart it seems like... seriously man, if I was somewhere legal I would throw my PH meter in the garbage at this point.

I am plant retarded. I have killed hundreds of dollars in genetics in just the past 6 months... probably like 200 USD in just seeds alone not to mention the man hours. I feel like I could have spent that time/money just tracking down weed locally.............................fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk:no:



I have other seeds I can use, but I am running out of autos. If I have to use another strain I am looking at KO Crop by CoTC or DF moby dick auto (not the xxl version, so whatever). Other than that I have a lot of single auto seeds, and more photo seeds.

You take that back sir. You certainly don't hate growing. It's more of a love hate thing. I understand.

Thinking about it weird? No... Makes complete sense and who wants to be found with their hands down their pants in the middle of a hydro grow with one of three plants showing stress etc.

But I think it comes down to is... Are you willing to drop a la diva, and let it suffer if it wont keep with the eating routine of the DD.

Your like me. Your a planter. Or I call it a planter. Their is never enough beans germin, never enough plants, do I have enough sativa, am I on par for flowering with my hybrids. What if that ones a male maybe I should germ another in case. Man Ive burned through so much seeds like you it is just a question of directing your attention to one area. It helped me. And I think your 3 plant system is legit. Not too many, hydro so its potent, and yeh, so its a variety pack!

dude you gotta be positive. I would go with the 2 and cover up the hole from the third. don't over think anything just go slow and relax. if the 2 do good just think how rewarding it will be when it is all done.have you tried growing in soil? maybe an option. good karma being sent your way.

elsamurai, is correct, just cover the unused hole and you will be fine.
I am guessing if your grow comes out oK, you will need the space.

Best advice would be to take things slow, just as your life takes some time to blossom, so does the plants. Patience is the key.

I've grown La Diva, she was a great little plant with great smoke.

My opinion is to leave the 3rd one empty and let the other 2 grow. They will take up the space of the third one and will have more room to grow bigger.

I'd put the Diva in. I grew one out that was really good. I would love to do it again, with added knowledge and experience.

You know what else you may want to do? I am guessing that you haven't grown much of anything, including garden plants? I'd do some quick annuals or something just to prove to yourself you can grow something. Get some marigold seeds, lettuce whatever and give it a go to get your confidence up. The hardest part of growing is having patience.

Covering the hole isn't an option because the space isn't shared... I should have made that clear... x_x

The rez is shared, but each plant has it's own 1x1 enclosed space, and there is an external rez that is piped into each one in a top feed system.

So if I leave one out, it will be a huge knock to the final yield. Basically there will be an empty grow chamber that the other plants have no opportunity to grow into.



I didn't want to waste my dark devils in these 1x1 spaces since I know they get big, and they are legendary on the forum here, but I didn't have any smaller autos that I had three of... because I can't keep my plants alive....

I have 2 la divas (killed one), 2 northern light blue auto (killed one), 2 royal cheese auto (killed one), 2 royal northern lights auto (killed one), 2 white widow auto (KILLED 3 YEAH... I had a 5 pack at one point...)... The list goes on of seeds that I have tried and killed either while a sprout or a seed or even sometimes a plant.... I had 5 AKR at one point, and only ever was able to grow one to completion... There are countless others.



Dark devil was the only faster strain I had three of left.

I honestly still think my best option for the best all around grow is to kill the DDevils and get 3 of the same going. I could separate the rez for the third space, but I'll already be maintaining more rez's than I can handle competently so that worries me...

A number of ppl have suggested to me soil, but I guarentee I will fuck that up worse than hydro. If it can be overwatered, I will overwater it there is no doubt. I even managed to overwater in DWC I would say at some points. Also, the bugs man.... pests... I have never seen a bug in my grow spaces and I live in a seriously buggy ass swampland of a state in the US. I just can't imagine that staying true if I tried soil...




Cowboy I might take your advice and just gamble on a la diva or something like that.... I am definitely a "planter" like you lol. I have germed so many fuckin seeds man... and bag seeds are not an option because they could be males or 20ft tall so it defffff gets expensive x_x... I do hate it though man... I hate it... I hate gardening... I hate being responsible for life forms... or at least I hate how bad I am at it... it's frustrating for me and the ppl around me... sighhhhhhhh

Dude, throw a couple of seeds in a simple soil mix and in 70-90 days you will have some good smoke. I am a hyper freak about trying to make things perfect and the more I mess with them the more I screw shit up. I am also starting to realize that you can get good seeds, mediocre seeds and bad seeds. My humble opinion is that with soil that good genetics will get a new grower along ways. With hydro you have to be an expert and have the time everyday to manage it. ( no offense hydro people, but anyone growing good hydro that disagrees should state how long they have been growing and how much time a week they spend) I play a lot of golf but I don't expect to be as good as tiger woods. The fact of the matter is that there are those that are naturals and those that have the good fate of having access to equipment and time to learn and then there is the rest of us. It's fun and one of these days each and everyone of us will have that one plant that is our best. Until then we should appreciate the 5grams to 2 ozs we get every 75-90 days off each plant we have. How nice is it to not have to be supplying the black market that gives weed a bad name or supporting the rich fat cats that have manipulated individual state governments to allow them to over charge and take advantage of the masses?
