Hello Folks,

This is not going to be good news for those of you that have one or more of these units. Because many of use Amazon Prime (discrete) and this is their best seller, many of us have them.

These monitors are 100% INACCURATE.

I have four and placed them side-by-side. Not one read the same rh; the variance was 8%.

These units cannot be calibrated.

I tried everything from rearranging them, to waiting longer, to moving them, to *redneck calibration; no luck.

Take make matters worse, I found there was no consistency to the discrepancies between the units to allow for note taking adjustments.

*Redneck calibration; I found a suggestion in Amazon reviews that recommended drilling holes in the sides to calibrate. I tried this on all four, I am a redneck why not, NO SUCCESS....

I was too pissed-off (not drunk you English tea mongers; mad), to stop and take pics. However, you can find pics if you go to the one star reviews at Amazon.

I was just telling my hydro shop about mine. Said 78 in the tent, held it in front of the AC for a few minutes, only went to 76. The unit was cold to the touch! Any recommendations as to a decent one?

I have three cheap old school dial meters that read consistent with my calibrated "Caliber 4 Digital Hygrometer................hmmmmmm....

About $12 more at Amazon you can find a real digital that can be calibrated. You also have to by their calibration kit; which is not too much $$$..
