New Grower Air pot size?

Hello! And thanks in advance for any feedback I may receive. Well I'm close to closing the door on my trial run of a fem Afgan Kush Ryder. She has been growing in a 5 gallon bucket since seed germination. But she wasn't big enough for the bucket it seems. Due to being feed bloom nutes first sign of flowering. Not letting the bucket totally dry between waterings, ect. Ect. None the less I'm getting things in order for my. Next run of 3 AKR's hoping to do her justice this time around. Going to try the air pots for these 3 girls. So my question is as follows. Will 3 gallon air pots be okay or should I go with the 5 gallon air pots? Also I'm using General Hydroponics 3 part micro,grow and bloom. Looking to do better in that department. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Definetly would not go bigger than the 3gallons man, I use 3.4gallon and they sometimes are hard to find that watering schedule down as they don't need to be watered as often, actually have you thought about the 2gallons Airpots? They seem like the happy medium to me, testing those out and also the 1gallond (which imo are too small) actually thinking of ordering some more of the 2 gallons, though they have new sizes (Airpots) than the old ones.... Looking forward to watching your grow! What type of lighting? What are you going to use for your nutes?

Edit: the new advertised 3gal is actually only 2.2 gallons which is almost 9lt, that's the size I would recommend personally. Think I just might order myself 4 more now.

As most evidence implies from so many growers here using them, it seems that Airpots can achieve the same or better results in a smaller size than Vs. a bigger of non-Airpot design. I use 5L which are about a 1 and 1/2 gallons, but I haven't used much else. 3 gallons were be primo Airpot size IMO.

I never use bigger than a 2.5 gallon air pot and have grown 6 footers in those so I wouldn't think you would need anything larger. The 5 gallon would be for SuperAutos and would be to much for regular autos. If you use the 2.5 pots and Sunshine Mix#4 with the Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect line and you will be growing like a pro in no time.

Just put in order for 5 pots myself... Pretty sure the ghaze x c99 (two) and probably a durrty dragon f2 (thanks Aunty ZERO GERM ISSUES WITH THESE!)... Too many strains not enough space... Makes me want to move out to country and have a HUGE out auto flower Buffett... Ahh too dream...

Glad you're sticking around gdaddy.. I have a feeling you're going to come back with a vengeance and have some beautiful plants next swing. Perseverance is key to success in many things, cannabis growing is no different, and you seem to have a high level of it!
I've never used air pots so I can't offer much more than what I've read - typically, the plants grow bigger because the root mass becomes more developed in smaller pots due to the air pruning. In a normal pot the roots aren't air pruned and don't continue to branch once they hit a stop. In air pots this isn't the case because of the air pruning forces them to keep branching out. So the entirety of the volume is used as opposed to what walls the roots hit.

@Torch: Ever hear of the great old oak tree?... I think you're going to have the great old cannabis tree..
