New Grower Anatomy instruction

I've harvested one of three compromised plants. The other two are in the on deck circle. Because of her problems and smaller than normal yield I'm performing a post mortem autopsy on the plant. Anatomy lesson this hour: the stem. My plant's stem is hollow. Higher up in the second picture it's more filled in. The stem crucial for water and nutrient delivery. Is this a normal stem?

I would say it was a Sativa, or Sativa dom. Strain bye the hole down the center.

Indica's tend to have a filled in, no straw like apperance stems.

Yes it's normal. and the more water the plant has, the smaller the hole becomes.

This one's a Buddha Seeds White Dwarf. 75% indica according Wikileaf.

Thanks the reply. Who knew sats and indicas sport different stems anatomically. This being indica, hollow stem, hmmmm.

Well it is not solid as iron. Lots of pheno's can have different kind of traits. A bunch of pheno's will have a bit of both in them.

Some can lean entirely one way or another. The important part is that it is normal in cannabis.

I don't agree that lack of calcium causes hollow stems.As far as I no all MJ plants have a small hollow core in all the branch stems and the main stem and is natural not caused by cal def.
