Growing an auto outside but need an adequate “bulb” type light for when it has to come in out of the weather or maybe at night. I have no knowledge in this area so any direction would be awesome!

Depends on how many ur planing on budget ect but if you want something that's really nice I would build it and if you don't know how I can walk you through it no problem I built a 480w 1000ma strip light and I like it better than my quantum board 96v2 which cost me more and is less wattage so again depending wat your willing to deal with. More isn't always better unless ur talking bang for the buck.

I think you want a cheap supplement rather than a full indoor setup. If so you will need 2 spotlight bulbs.
For Vegetation. The bulb needs to be 5500 Kelvin or so - typically used for high quality photography - very bright and expensive. I use one for germination, the initial seedling week on a 24/0 schedule and on rainy days. Probably buy it on the web.
For Flowering, the bulb should be 2700 Kelvin - much less expensive. This is easier to find in Home Depot, etc.
Note: A single bulb does not replace the sun - only supplements sunshine during rainy days or to get a few more hours of light each day. Keep the bulb 12-18 inches from the plant and don't let it fall into the pot!

I wish I was able to fully grow inside, I would for sure take you up on your offer! I was hoping for some type of grow bulb that I can use in a standard light fixture. I just need it when I have to bring my 3 gallon pot with a WW auto in out of foul weather.
