Hi, after a 6 year hiatus I've started with indoor growing again a while ago and now I want to try a bubbler to see if I like it. Does anyone know the Alien brand and know if this is a good deal? Or can I make a better system if I do it myself? This is what I'm talking about: http://www.bestgrowproducts.com/alien-nl/55-liter-bubbler

Seems rather expensive for a 55lt (15 gallon) DWC bucket. I know it's in euro's so I assume you are in the EU. But just to give you an idea a large air stone and airline would be $10, air pump $15, net pot $5 and surely you could score a 15 gallon rubbermaid container for $25/$30. I don't know what you have for local sources but eBay if your friend it need be.

Very much this.
Most of the bubbler setups on the market are grossly overpriced.

You should always construct your own reservoirs. That way it is customized to your needs and setup. For one plant you want a 10 gallon Rubbermaid or similar plastic storage tote.

DutchCat, check out some of the grows I am currently doing. They are all different DWC systems.

OK, I will, thanks. Still on the fence about this Alien Bubbler. I know it's expensive, but I just don't want any trouble with DIY stuff, until I know what the heck I'm even doing, lol.
