Howdy all, hoping to see if anyone has any feedback on dealing with calmag defs during Platinum LED grows.

My setup and latest round was 4x P300's in a 6x6, 8 total Auto ladies in 5 gal equiv airpots (oxypots this time). Water is all reverse osmo (so I knew I'd need some calmag). Nute line is Advanced (I bought every single additive and will never use any other lines)

My 8 ladies were a bit of a zoo, all different strains/breeders. Two of six were an "organic" only experiment (both had calmag issues, which could be due to my learning how to run organic without buying organic Nutes... attempted to use EWC/Guano/compost teas (but did use my AN calmag on em)

In total, 3 of 8 appeared to have calmag issues I felt I was never able to control throughout the grow (i.e. rust spots continued until chop).

Calmag used is Advanced Nutrients SensiCal

The question -

Can anyone share how often they add/added calmag when running RO water and growing under Platinum LED (or other brand LED)?

All the info I've found is on actual usage amount (2ml/L) but no chatter on frequency.

I was concerned about "overdoing it" and this round only added calmag about once a week.

Would one need to use it every time they water or would that definitely cause a calmag toxicity?

I may try calling Advanced as I hear they have great support.

Much appreciated!

I use Mega crop and PK Explosion nothing else I'm not suffering nor have had Cal Mag Issues. The sticky fingers I'm picking tonight never saw one cal mag supplement. That was grow from seed to harvest all I have had is a tiny bit of bleaching on the top with the cob pro 1000 I have to dial in height and strength at the later stage of budding. I have tried for three grows now straight mega crop with pk explosion and have had no reason to even look at my C/M supplement.

Who is having problems? Is this just started? I just grew this monster STICKY FINGERS AUTO auto under your new cob pro 1000. There is that tiny bit of bleaching that is just a learning curve but no cal mag issues. Personally I like a organic Cal Mag with 1 or 0 on the npk scale you can really put that to a plant with out other problems popping up. that is what I do if I had a c/m General Organics Cal mag is what I use if needed.

Is is ca or mg def? I've always tried to feed it before symptoms show, autos and led tend to use more.

Platinum lights are strong, dont keep them too close!

Thanks guys, appreciate the opinions! Can anyone that has had a "cal/mag" hungry plant say how often they gave calmag? Just trying to gauge, seems like when I researched it I heard some people say "cal/mag with every water", so just trying to gauge if that's true or if that could lead to a toxicity. Or would a calmag hungry plant need a calmag addition once or twice in a cycle?

I have given cal mag in the past every feed just as a precaution. But never full strength.
