New Grower Anything to worry about here?

Problem: Yellowing tips and purple new growth

Medium/grow method: Soil - Happy Frog on top 50/50 happy frog/ocean forest on bottom

Feed: and supplements used: None yet

water source: RO @ 6.5 PH according to pen.

Strain/age: Sour Crack & Blue Cush (Mephisto genetics) 5 days since they sprouted.

light used: Cali Light works 550 solar system (60% red, 99% white, 99% blue) about 30 inches above plants

Climate: 77º F 50% RH

I woke up this am to check on and water these babies and noticed the tips turning yellow. I also noticed yesterday that the new set of leaves in both plants are coming in purple.

This is my first grow so I'm overly paranoid, I'm sure most of you can relate, do I have anything to worry about here? Also, while I have you here, do they look to be growing fast enough for day 5?

Sorry we missed this one Slam. Have you got an update? did they recover? usually the tips burnt means hot soil. The purple should go away or it's genetic most likely. Too early for deficiency.

They seem to be doing fine, the yellow tips are isolated to the first set of leaves so far and haven't gotten any worse. The purple leaves persist but as they get older the purple fades and they look nice and green so I'm guessing, like you said, it's genetics.

My only guess is that the batch of HF I have is a bit hot or my lights were to intense so they took up too many nutes, but the girls seem to have adapted. Thanks for reaching out!

I'm with the rev they look fine, I always get one or two when doing a batch that find the soil a little hot which is normal, they always get going good after a few days. The purple leaf looks like a genetic thing, I have grown over 200 Dark devils and all tho some have purple leaf they tend to turn purple from green rather than go green to purple, I would be excited if I had a plant like that

-- do yourself a favor, and get a soil pH probe- The Accurate 8 is good one,.... nothing beats an in-pot measurement, and with dicey quality FuxFarm soils, it's doubly prudent,... OF is the [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem soil we see in here,.... HF tends to be better, but still,...
