I've got these marks I'm guessing bit marks on about 2-3 leaves on all three of my plants? I did have a snail get in my tent the other week and munch on a couple of others but I since have I think solved how he got in, but these have appeared since then I looked at the underside of the leaves and there is the odd white patch, but u don't really know what I'm looking for???

I agree on the thrips. If it were snail damage I'd expect to see slime trails on the leaves. Neem oil can be used to eliminate the thrips or if you prefer a more natural approach, introduce some lady bugs to your garden. They will eat the thrips.

I feared as much! Is the neem oil ok to use while the plants are in flower?

thanks guys

Hi Keenbutcher...any reputable neem oil should do. I looked through your grow thread and your ladies are early in flower, in which case it's OK to use neem. I wouldn't use it on plants in late flower. Best of luck getting rid of those buggers. :peace:

Thanks canna! This stuff is already diluted so may be easier to use. Any suggestions of application amounts and frequency? There are some many people saying so many things it's very confusing lol.

I don't have the definitive answer for you, Keen. When I use neem, I drench the plant with the initial spray, then play it by ear depending on results. Remember, neem does not kill thrips; it prevents them from feeding. So the results will not be immediate.

So I got a light 30x jewellers loop and fully inspected all the leaves on top an underneath, so far I can find and pests to speak of, unless they are even too small for a 30x loop.
is there anyway these marks could be caused by bad PH or nute problems??

The thrips will be visible under a 30x loupe, but they tend to move around a lot. Thrips eggs may not be visible. I've never seen leaf scarring like that caused by pH or nute problems, but I don't have the experience to say that for certain. Suggest you post to the AFN Live Help Thread (link in my first reply).
