Grow Mediums Aqua & WaterFarm help please

Hi all I am a total noob when it comes to this i hope some one can help me out I have got plant!t gemini very smiler to these Aqua & WaterFarm ones but a lot cheaper

it was an ex demo in a shop £20.00 with its box just had the plebes in it no water or the pump used in it so it brand new in my eyes lol it was rude not to take it for £20.00

I have had it running for 48 hrs now with no plants in can i use ionics or would it be best to go with ghe stuff and when do i need to add the nutes what day please i have had a good look on the forum but a little lost at the first block any help i would be grateful

First what type of medium are you gonna put the seeds in to?

hi there i used root riot cubes instead of rockwool and they seem to be doing the job .

Hey newbud,

It's a simple topfeed system from the look of it. When you're happy with your seedling plant the cubes level with the aggregate and mix a solution on the conservative side (400 -600ppm) till they get some size (about a foot around), then double it. You won't need to run the drippers too often while the plants are young but as they, and their roots, fill the top pot you'll need to give them maybe fifteen minutes every two hours with a mechanical timer. Run your pH between 5.8 - 6.3 (or according to whatever brand's instructions you're using) and make sure to try and keep the water level constant as you can--this will reduce pH and EC fluctuation. Remember, if your room is running hot the plants will transpire more water and you may need to run the pumps more often, play it by ear and see how you go...
