i was wondering if i can put the seed in a pot of miricale grow soil and just let them grow water them of course.

Not hard if you stick to the main rules of growing autos.

1) best not to repot
2) provide enough depth in your pot for roots. Width not as important.
3) No nutes while seedlings
4) No pruning

Variations to the above should only be tried once you have a few successful grows under your belt.
Obviously good aerated soil, no insects, good lights etc essential

i think you would be best with a seed starting mix in the top half of the pot and a then your miracle grow in the bottom half combined with some seed raising mix 50/50.

this might give it a chance at living with just plain water, buy yellow sticky pads as you will need them

good luck :bong:

Tbh I feel like photoperiod might have been easier for me lol.

Photoperiods r easier to grow in my view. They recover easily if stunted. Autos r more prone to get stunted due to over waterting and nutes.

Hi if you start off straight away with MG you will burn your seedling as the soil is too hot. Personally i tried a photo with MG and it was not very good not designed for weed summer potting plants and flowers.
This is my first auto grow and it couldn't have been easier about the same compared to my photo's which in the past have sometimes been throw and grow but in my opinion auto's are easy

Do not, repeat, do not, use any Miracle Grow product to grow autos. They all contain slow release nutrients, even their perlite, which will really screw with autos. You will just end up chasing one problem after another with it. Get yourself a good soil mix like Pro Mix, Sunshine #4 or any of a variety of good ones that are available. You will also need, at the very least, a good liquid pH tester. Maintain the proper pH is imperative for good auto growth and without one, you'll only be guessing. If you run into any issues and seek our help, it's likely one of the first questions you will be asked is what the pH is of your feeds and your run off.

Agreed, do not use Miracle Grow. The company that makes it (Monsanto) are not well liked, globally. Get good multi purpose compost. As people have said Autos need the conditions just right for the first 3 weeks (all the way though in fact but especially at the sensitive start) to ensure the plant grows as well and strong as possible so it can produce as many bud sites as possible in that time.

That means, good quality compost, decent pot size (not less than 7L IMO), correct temperatures i.e. 20C -26C approx, lots of quality light and wet then dry water cycle and good fresh air supply.

Given this they do well. If you can 12/12 the light cycle easily Photoperiod plants will often be more hardy and less sensitive to mistakes and they are still a little more potent generally speaking.

Auto flowering strains are slightly less stable and you can end up with plants that do not do quite what you expect slightly more often than with photoperiod strains.

I think they are great though as I have a problem 12/12ing plants in my grow situation so autoflowering is truly a god send.

They keep getting better and better and more stable as long as you research the good breeders.
