Hello! I’ve embarked on my first grow, and am skeptical about growth rate and overall health.

Kellog organic soil
“1000w” led full spectrum - 286w draw
Advanced Nutrients - Micro Grow Bloom
Intake and exhaust PC fans
Light about 36 in from soil top

Plants look like dis

Germ day 1 Feb 14

These babies are moving slow, no?

AND THESE SPOTS?

First 3 are gorilla glue
Next is widow, which looks small but healthy?

The first 3 for sure have issues going on, most likely more than one, someone else will chime in soon. The fourth looks ok but should be much bigger for the time you’ve posted. Day 15-20 should have many more sets of leaves. How much are you watering and how often? Have you given any nutes?

I agree with BlackBetty, they should be larger, and the petiole should have colored in by now but they are still purple. I looked into that soil, but not sure which Kellog product you are using, they have a dozen... Looks like a pretty good manufacturer, but hard to say without using some.

Are you using one LED light for all 4?
What is the humidity?
Have you checked pot pH?

The first three look like pH is off, but the last one doesn't, it's slow take off is a bit worrisome. It has me wondering about the soil conditions. They seem like they are not taking up nutrients effectively, or not enough light. The first three are slightly stunted, and will take a long time to grow out. I would pull the worst one of them out, and check for soil fungus or bugs.

Probably not the issue here, but I also would pull the topdressing back from the stalk bit so it doesn't get stem rot.

Alright, fellas. Let’s use this as an experimental post now, as I have more seeds inbound.

I went out to the local awesome seed supply co and got some Fox Farm Ocean Forest!

As I was moving the gorilla glue, my dog about tabletopped me and the whole 3 gal por hit the floor. Needless to say, it removed the plant from the “soil” quite nicely.

Attached below are images of the transplant. Both are now repotted in some nice soil, with great stuff in it.

Let’s see if these babies come back to life?

Any suggestions as of now? Right back under light, or leave them to settle a bit?

I saturated the soil with pH correct water, let them hang in the sun a bit, and then softlyburied up the exposed roots. I watched them for 60-120 sec and I SHIT you not they stood up nice and straight.

Won’t fully get my hopes up, but it’d beawesome if they worked out!

Not sure it will make it but maybe, depends if any damage to roots took place, also, not to bring you down anymore, the FF ocean forest tends to be a little hot for some young seedlings. Some do a layer of less hot nutes at top and OF at bottom of pot. I personally haven’t had good luck with OF alone. Good luck with it, hopefully turns out well! Post some more pics in few days to update us. Going forward, I wouldn’t use any nutes until day 15-20, not sure if you used any on first run, if so, start later next grow. They simply don’t need any that young.

I give first feed at day 10 but at 1/8th the strength. Since you are using micro grow and bloom I would stick with coco coir or pro mix HP or sunshine mix number 4 for your grow medium. I have used pro mix HP for years with good success. But that us just a suggestion. I hope they pull through and flourish.

That Kellogg soil is crap, just looking at it tells the tale,.. for a seedling to look that bad so soon, bad soil is the#1 suspect,... weird, it was P defc. looking to me,.. P is critical all the time, BTW not just bloom,....
:yoinks:  Well, after all that, I'd just toss that seedling, between the trauma of the spill and forced transplant, the bad start, it's very likely she's stunted out past the point of wasting time with,...
I'm afraid there's more bad news, in that Fuxfarm soil,.. [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem soil I see here is Sick Bay,.. their quality has been very shaky these days, many bags showing badly off pH (low 5's!) to say nothing of the poorl cooked components,.. sticks, barks chunks, stones,... looks for Roots Organic, Vermicrop, Sanctuary Soils,...
