I have been trying to research this topic but I can't find much info on it other than the yields will be worse. Has anyone out there grown an auto with 12/12 light schedule? and if so how did it turn out?

You won't get much bud at all. What's your setup like? 12/12 with cfls I'm gonna guess and say a couple grams dry. My very first auto I grew at 12/12 with my photos under 1000w hps got me less than 3 grams.
it is worth noting that I knew nothing of autos at the time, used way to big of a pot, she was a little far from the light as my photos were much taller. Regardless tho autos under 12/12 don't produce much.

Ouch 4 grams is rough. I currently have a 300w led, soon i'll be adding another one. I'm trying to decide between photo plants 12/12 from seed or just throwing auto's in with my flowering plants.

I got about half an Oscar off of a 12/12 and it was my first auto grow under a 125 W cfl.
Autoflowers go by the lifecycle not light cycle. You won't get good yields off autos in 12/12 because they go thru their phases no matter the lighting. So the best lighting schedule would be 18/6 or 20/4. I personally run 18/6 now after years of 20/4 and notice a slightly higher yield than 20/4. Hope that helps your decision making.

I knew about the way autos work and I've tried growing them at 18/6 once before. They stunted because of ph problems but yea, was my first grow. ;D
Problem is I only have 1 grow area and I'm currently doing photo's that have just flipped to 12/12. I have space though and I want to buy some new seeds soon so it was either get some more photo seeds and do 12/12 from seed or try putting autos in there for the faster harvest time. Ideally I'd like to get 1oz per plant regardless.

Indeed did it back in the times when there was not much Knowledge bout Autoflowers and u get less Bud and need almost Double the Time so imho Electrical Costs would be more like runnin on 20/4. My Autos under 12/12 needed Average 115-130 Days to mature to Milky not Amber.
