I have 2x 150 watt HPS all-in-one lights 2 feet above seedlings growing in 3 gallon pots of straight coco. Grow area is 3x3x4 and temps swing between 70-90f with RH between 40-70, I currently have no exhaust and am using an oscillating fan on medium directed away from the plants.

I watered my plants last night even though I probably shouldn't have and I woke up to temp at 91f.

Both seedlings were bending over almost touching the coco, after doing some research I decided to pull and plant them deeper into the coco about a half inch from the tops.

Did I do the right thing or should I start over?

You will know soon enough it they are going to make it.
90f is really pushing it in coco if you are a new grower, even most skilled growers won't want to contend with that on a regular basis.
Until the seedling have hardened off and started to really veg, you will experience wilting issues with that temp.

I have had to grow in similar conditions.

I don't see how you will be able to manage your temps without some sort of exhaust.
One thing I did to help when temps where high was frozen gallon jugs, you would be amazed at what one will do sitting on a pie tin in the cab.

I'm no expert, but those strike me as some big temperature fluctuations. In The Marijuana Grower's Handbook, Ed Rosenthal writes that the variance between "daytime" and "nighttime" (lights on / lights off) temperatures in your grow area should be small. Too much of a swing will shock the plants. At most, you want about a 10 degree difference. You're in the 20 range right now.

Also, 91 degrees is pretty hot for your plants. Ideal temperature range is 70 - 85F.

Seems like your RH is swinging pretty widely, too. You'll want to get that under control, especially during the flowering period.

Between the temp and humidity fluctuations, your little seedlings are probably stressed out. I'd also guess that watering could be an issue if you're keeping things in the 90s.

I think you did the right thing. What I like to do is add soil to the pot if I can if the stem is weak. The deeper the stem the more roots, so go for it. You will need to figure out an exhaust though as well as intake. Just imagine how well you would grow in a room of stale air. They use up the CO2 and they need fresh air to replace it.

One way you can add CO2 naturally to your grow room without mechanical means"

1. Create a space to sit in your room.
2. Go do dinner and eat a huge ass bean burrito with hot sauce.
3. Drink some soda.
4. Return to your grow room and hang out for a while while your body creates the CO2 which you will then leave in the grow room.

Good luck!

I will be going to home depot tomorrow for an exhaust setup. Replanting them deeper won't rot the stem will it?

Nah, won't rot the stem. After awhile, new side roots will even come out of the buried part of the stalk :)

Sounds good, I will give a day or two and as long as they make it I will start a grow log. I have grown many mushies in the past but this is my first journey with cannabis.

One more question, tomorrow will be day 7 for them, even though I replanted both should I give them some nutrients or hold off and let them recuperate?

Depends on your nutrients. I use Mills and start the day they are moved into their pots. Others say wait a week. Wouldn't hurt IMHO to add some root growth nutrient.
