I have wind issues too but mine are more like 30 mph constant and 60+ gusts all the time. No outdoor growin here lmao

I take it your east of the rockies? My family had a farm in North western KS, family sold it after my grandparents passed in the early 80s'. Spent alot of summers out there. Have come to the conclusion, that's what I was ment for, and someone ripped me out and transplanted me to the bay area.

lol nope I am smack dab in the middle of the Rockies. I am in the San Luis Valley Colorado the highest alpine valley on earth. It's crazy here you should look it up

Yup, know the area a little, my mom had a stroke in Trinidad CO, a few yrs back. Parents were dragging a 5th wheel across country. Thats what brought me back to California. Dad's 84, she's now 76, dementia heart issues, etc. Am an only child, and not gonna let dad go thru this alone. Thank god they legalized this year. Wouldn't do this if it wold jeopardize them in any way. Mom's doctor has cleared her for CBD, so strains to make her tinctures , and a few mental health strains for me! That works...
Someday I'll be outa this state again, I'd be happy 40 miles from the nearest neighbors

I am about an hour an a half northwest of Trinidad. The reason I am here is because I was my fathers caregiver for the last year or so of his life. It's hard to watch em go through that. My dad was a pot head and so when they legalized here it was a no-brainer I brought him straight here and got him super high he loved it

It is hard to see, you picture them in your head and see "your parents" at their prime, @least I do... I'm the original stoner in the family, I can remember coming home from high school to find my sack in the toilet... mom thought water ruined weed... I'd complain, and quietly move it to a window sill to dry. Now I'll be growing her bud... wow, what a strange trip it's been. Am not expecting the dementia to respond to the cbd, but have read studies that it does stimulate tissue growth in the hypothalamus, but if it just relieves the leg pain, and will let her sleep thru the night, that in itself may help.
I'm a forgetful grumpy dude when back problems keep me up night after night.

Figure when I come indoors this fall, I'll set up like I grow my carolina reapers with a bottOM feeding system View attachment 760603
aww boom mate! ive just put a couple moruga scorpion seeds in to germ. wanted reapers but ms was the hottest they done. are they easy enough to grow? ie should i read up on it or will i survive with a bit of common sense?

I've found the super hots are a little more finicky, my biggest complaint, is some of the germination times are ridiculous! Have seen times of 60 days... just to germinate! Then, slow growers. Most sites will quote 120 days to maturity... + 60 day germ, then you have flowers... most of the guys I know growin the supers, germinate in November for the following year. My plants I don't expect fruit this season, I'll overwinter and harvest next yr... so until then, I bought several ounces of dried product from bakers peppers in florida.

I go through alot, fill the grinder, and it goes on almost all my food. Will probably use some for a fermented hot sauce recipe I've been wanting to try. Will say these are not to be messed around with, just breaking the vacuum packed reaper/scorpions up to go in the grinder drove family members out of the kitchen. Am going to try germinating a couple of the seeds, hoping their viable, I'll pack a bunch up of each for my vault. Tacos for dinner tonight...
