Hey Cultivator!
Could we get a few more details about your grow space setup? What kind of ambient temperatures do you have in your grow space before you put a 1000W light in there? If you're looking for a 1000W HPS (High Pressure Sodium)/MH (Metal Halide) setup; be sure to keep in mind that those lights PUMP OUT some heat. For most people, additional cooling/ventilation has to be addressed with these kind of lights. I personally run two 400W and a 1000W HPS/MH in my grow space and it can get pretty toasty pretty fast without some airflow.
If you're looking at package deals; keep in mind the type of reflector used. You're typically going to see open air reflectors, vented hoods, and cool tubes. They each have their place, but some are better than others.
An open air reflector is going to allow the most amount of heat into your grow space.
You have duct options with vented hoods and cool tubes. The vented hoods typically are larger, bulkier, but give better light dispersion than the cool tubes.
The cool tubes are typically lighter, smaller in footprint, and tend to move air more effectively and quietly than most hoods due to the cylindrical design of the tube, but at a sacrifice of not having the type of light dispersion a vented hood gives (in my opinion, they both very much have a place in grow rooms depending on circumstances.)
With the vented fixtures, you'll most likely want to look into an extraction fan along with some duct to help pipe the heat out of the tent. Often times people will extract their lights out of the same duct that is attached to their carbon scrubbers (so it's less equipment to have in the grow space, and potentially less gear to buy if you plan correctly from the start.) If we knew some more details about your space, we could make suggestions what to get.
What's your budget?
If you're just looking for a straight up "give me the name of the product and I'll go with what sounds good," I personally use iPower branded lights, cool tubes, reflectors, and ballasts. Never used 'em before I started growing, was looking for a good budget priced light combo much like yourself; saw that iPower surprisingly got pretty sterling reviews on many consumer sites, and now it's all I use and have used them for about 2 years solid now. Everyone has their favorites; and mileage in quality will vary, but the proof's in the pudding brother! (and I'm a hungry boy

Hope that helps out a little! If you have any questions feel free to ask them or PM me directly if you'd like :karma Cloud:
