I know that they do not recommend using organic nutrients with the AutoPot system, but I was curious if anyone has actually used anything like BioBizz in it? The nutrients aren't thick by any means once mixed into a batch of water. Sheer curiosity, just poking around ideas.

I think that if you did a routine flushing of the tubing and cleaning of the filter, it would work. I have an adapter on my bathroom sink that allows me to connect my RO filter. I take apart the tubing leaving all fittings connected to one peice of tubing. Its the fittings that plug up as the inside daimeter is small.takes just a couple minutes to do all and put it back. I'd say a 2 week schedule may work. even with regular nutes they will plug. I flush the tubing on mine now every 30 days.

@MeefChief I too had the same question, about a month ago.

In the past I have used BioBiz in normal soil grows, couldn't decide if Autopots would run OK. I posted a question here an there, but no definite response that it would work.... more advise that it may not!

So, I decided to "bite the bullet" and change to (what I considered) a more appropriate Nutrient type for Autopots.

I researched lots of different companies and settled on Ferro Soil/Hydro Nutrients, as they make a tailored "Regional" nutrient based on your own water.

I am more than happy with them, for the first time ever I have grown without any Nutrient burn, overfeed or underfeed.... Just add to my Tap water and the PH and EC levels come in perfect and remain stable.

No connection with them, other than a Happy Customer.... Just throwing it out there.... (I still add a dash of "Superthrive", but may drop this soon).

Whatever you decide good luck bro.... and if you do stick with BioBiz, let me know how you get on.

nice post @Frogster looks like you really stumbled upon something cool. can you please tell me in short how this regional nutrinet composing works? do you send some kind of a water sample to them or sime kind of preferences you can get in your country? is it expencive?
sorry for many questions but im quite fascinated by this and you are the first hand to tell! :)
cheers mate

No worries.... Take a look here "Link" this is how it works.... You can send a sample of water and they do the business.

However, they also have a range of "regional nutrients" that are already made... calculated for that region's water supply (measured from pumping station samples). I purchased one of those as they have already done that for my area and the pumping station they used is only 3 miles from me... The Water Spec is the same..

They are based in Holland, but supply all over.

Take a look at their website.. from the link above

I've been running GrowMore Seagrow, a seaweed based nutrient for three grows now. I've only had the lines plug once, and as I said, it was one plugged fitting. Its very easy to flush the lines. Anyone wanting to try bottled organic nutes, should give it a try. Just do routine maintainance and you should never have a line plug.

I never cleaned my lines between the two grows I tested the system out. I used Drip Clean from House and Garden. I'm not sure if I can mix that with my organic nutrients though.
