Howdy all:tiphat:

Just wondering if anyone out there has experience with this product or any like it:

https://www.growshoponline.nu/en/vmchk/nutrients-additives/bioquant/bioquant-clomeq-concentrate-6-ml/

I can't seem to find a source here in the US but there must be something like it out there... It promises to keep the plant shorter.

My questions would be; is it safe to consume plants that have this treatment?, does it effect yield or potency?, does it effect growth or maturation time?, how short do the plants get? and do products like this even work? There's so much snake oil out there!

Does anyone have a pic of what something like this does to the plant? Height is an issue for me, I would love something like this to keep things on the shorter side, and even if it mildly effected yield no biggie since I only grow for myself anyways.

Sorry for the ramble, just really stumped by this. And really excited...

The link appears to be broken (at least on my end.)

Can I ask why you wouldn't just plant in smaller pots and use techniques like LST? No chemical mess, no wondering how it will affect your plants, no wondering if it's safe to smoke. Just tried and true effective size controlling methods :d5:

Can't find a ton of information on it by people that have used it so far in my initial search...

BIOQUANT CLOMEQ 250ML PLANT CELL ELONGATION INHIBITOR (SOLUTION 1:20)BIOQUANT Clomeq is a regulator of growth processes in the plant.
It strongly inhibits the cell elongation allowing the plants to remain low. The internoduli develop just after each other and the stem thickness increases. Bio Clomeq has no adverse effects on the duration of the cell division cycle, cell differentiation, metabolism or energy processes. The cell elongation inhibition effect starts immediately after treatment and this for the duration of 14 days. Hereafter the cell elongation resumes as normally expected in a phase of the cycle.

BIOQUANT COMEQ concentrate is completely organic and contains no synthetic compounds. It is non-toxic, does not stack and is completely biodegradabale.

Features:

  • Completely soluble in water
  • Rapidly and highly absorbable
  • Fully organic
  • Safe and easy to use
Use and application:

  • Can be used at any moment of the cycle,
  • Spraying or misting plants under low light intensity
  • Dilution 0.12% (6ml in 5 liters of water)
  • Not to be combined with other (hormonal) regulators
Composition:

Vegetal choline derivative, Cytokines (zeatin / kinetin based), Auxins (plant extracts), Brassinosterioden (plant extract)

Thanks Son Of Hobbes! Sorry for the broken link... Not sure why it's doing that today. Your quote is exactly what the description on the link says.

I grow in DWC which is why I get such big plants. I have come really accustomed to this growing style and actually find it easier than soil now that I have some experience under my belt.

You're right about the LST. I will have to do some research on how to do that with a DWC bucket. I can't find anything here in the US on where to get that product.

Did some research on the ingredients last night and it looks like the hormones used in it are also used in tissue culture, for what it's worth. They do indeed control plant's growth... It is certainly an interesting product and I would certainly be checking it out if I lived in Europe/UK.

Thought about seeing if I could have some shipped here but being a liquid I would think that would be a difficult task...
