Did anyone try the water only pellets from biotabs.eu?

Do you think they are ok to use from sprout?
Will the reccomended dosage(1tab for 2L pot etc) last the entire grow?

Im considering trying them in light mix or Coco, seems really simple wsy of growing :D

Check out the Mephisto threads... Mitch uses the Biotabs and had shown his methods..

i hear they can work ok, but some inherent issues can arise sometimes, but as far as ease of growing there are better and easier ways of growing,i personally wouldnt use them, but kow they can and do work for autos and photos alike. from sprout? eh i would layer it lower in the pot to the sides and hot them with a tea or similar for the first week or two then the tabs should pick it up and carry it further.

Instead of starting a new thread i will post here.

What is so unique about biotabs that you dont have to PH adjust water? I have limed soil that will keep the soil around 6.5. This helps low ph waterings. But my tap water is 8.5. Not acidic at all. According to what science can i water with 8.5 tap and not have lockout problems? Are biotabs special in some way?

to my knowledge of them, they do not have a Lime compressed into the smaller puck(s). so for it to have less PH issues imho ,I would add Lime(either sweet/Dolomite lime or pellet/prilled lime/garden lime, all similar and work well) to your soil my friend to help stabilize your plants and soil. my water too runs that high in season.I have not PH'd a single drop in years :D but i dont use bio-tabs either. but know those whio have and they work. they just are not a one and done complete system for balancing soil and feeding plants for organics. but a lime treament will go far to help stabilize you soil/plants man.

if they DO have a PH corrector in there, its very slight and would need to be boosted some to again, stabilize it/them. and prolly for single pot applications as well. so an added cpl teaspoon to a TBspn per pot and mixed up would not be a bad thing with them tabs either.

I think i might be confused. ordinary dolomite lime will only raise PH to a max of 7.0. If over application of lime happens you will have magnesium toxicity but the PH will still only be a max of 7.0. If I have lime in the soil already, and I water with 8.5 PH I would imagine my soil PH would rise to 7.5 possibly 8.0. Locking out various nutrients. So my concern is actually having an alkaline PH. How does Biotabs stop the PH of soil from becoming alkaline. They say on the website you dont PH adjust or check EC.

yup your confusled man. PH and organics dont work. thats why they tell you to dont worry about it right? thats why. and the foods and guanos and things(more acidic) like foods and various additives will lower it with some lime voila. higher PH water sure,i would recommend adding things to it but a stanbd alone tab? i dunno never used them, but thats the principle man. no PH nadda. but with a unworked soil and add one tab? i dont see it.
