Lighting BlackStar The Manual

I have never heard of a single LED unit catching on fire. I'm no sparky, but I think they just go quietly into the night.

One of the nice things about the way they go out is it's only half a panel at a time. At least the plants aren't stuck in the dark and the flowering cycle isn't interrupted.

Glad to see im not the only one, just plugged in my 240w uv model today with chrome background. And half of it is out... bummed. My 240w ho veg model totally lit up fine thou. Im letting friend barrow them to start her summer veggie garden early. So whats fix? Call gotham? Replace power source? Do I have to send in unit for them to repair or will they send me parts?

S'up Prez!

Same with mine. Don't call Gotham first unless it's still under warranty. If it's not, you need to test it first. A fairly simple process...

Note which side/half of the board is out. Get a screwdriver to remove the screws and pull the case apart. Unplug and switch the two power supply cords to the board and see if the sides switch lighting. If it does NOT, it's a burnt LED on the bad side. If it DOES, it's a bad power supply. Then call Gotham.

Thx for reps Prez! Isn't this one of the lights you just got like 3-4 months ago? If so... That Sucks! Hope it's still got a warranty.
I'm waiting til my grow is finished before I track down the dead led in mine. I'll just "strap" it out until (if) I get a replacement to solder in. Not really gonna sweat one led and go through the hassle. For now I've got half.

Check the link robwars posted, it's a SUPER easy fix. Even pig can do it, and my skills are limited to wd40 and duct tape.

No purchase statement or anything and was in a plain white box.
