Hey folks, just looking for honest opinions on bloom fertilizer. I was in the hydro store recently and was looking at fox farm stuff. Just making small talk I asked the guy about big bloom and he tried to gently upswell me to big bud or bud candy claiming it was worlds above fox farm or roots. Was he scamming me, just "drinking the kook aide" or is it true.

In hydro it's the entire picture-what is all the stuff in the solution and what has the plant become conditioned to. Bloom is hi phos and the line's ph-- my stuff (Cutting edge) is very acidic and very high in nutes-so changing it to something else is tricky to fatal. What ever system you started out on finish it, as you could make up a batch of mix the plant rejects. More experience will tell you what you can and can't get away with. So for now use the Fox Farm line untill you finish--if playing it safe is what you want. You can always go to the supplier and ask them (707-443-4369), (9 to 5 Cal time) what supplements they recommend to be added to their line. Yes it will be Fox Farm biased but the chemicals will be compatible-you ever see hydo solution crystallize because you mixed two different brands of stuff?
