Indoor Blue Himalayan Diesel under CFL

Looking good dude other than the yellowing. Miracle Grow is a pain in the ass in my opinion:hot: Hoping its nothing but smooth sailing left for you from here on out dude

Yeah, it seems like the time relase formula in the MiracleGrow assisted in my pH fluctuations. If nothing else, there are better options out there. This will be my first and last grow with this medium. For now though, just making the best of the situation, which hopefully will be smooth sailing indeed :-)

I've Been a Bad Boy...

So close to harvest, yet my patience gave in. Well that and the fact, I was otherwise out of herb. So I clipped a couple bottom buds off Blue and quick dried them.

I know I should've held off at least until harvest, because now energy that would go into late stage bud production will go into healing. Hopefully, it doesn't make tooo huge a diff.

In the process, noticed the first few amber trichomes come about. Stay tuned...

Week 8 (Almost) Updates

I'll be leaving town tomorrow night for a long weekend. So I decided to post updates just prior to.

The young ladies are becoming more and more fragrant. Amber crystals are starting to pop up, and the leaves are starting to drop off.

I'm quite pleased with Blue in particular. She looks to be the heftiest, furthest along, and is exhibiting blue and purple hues. The others are coming along quite well as well to be fair however. Most interested in seeing how my midge, Yellow, yields in the the end. Looks pretty small and unassuming... hoping for a nice surprise though.

Judging by how the girls are progressing, I will likely harvest Mother's Day weekend. I don't think my mom would appreciate this bouquet however, so I'll just hold on to it for myself. My girlfriend won't mind indulging a bit though, lol. I'll see if I can get her to pose with the final dry yield.

Also by the time the girls have dried, the plan is to have a new toy. I'm in the market for a portable vape, and am eyeing either the Pax or the soon to be released Da Vinci Ascent. So we can look forward to both a herb and product review end of May/beginning of June.....hopefully.

 those are some beautiful plants you've got there! too bad about how crappy miracle grow is for cannabis, but hey! live and learn! you're now a wiser person, and your next grows will be proof of that. keep it green (or is it blue for these plants?)

Thanks! You're exactly right live and learn; Miracle Grow will definitely be omitted for the next grow. These girls would've been so much better off with a better medium and proper pH balance throughout.

I had to think for a minute when you said keep it green or blue, lol. One plant is named Blue, which ironically enough is the one showing blue hues for this Blue Himalayan grow. Also just realized, though I picked the colors at random, they all happened to be represented in the grow right now... between the three, shades of green, yellow, and blue can all be seen right now. Haha...

Wouldnt recommend the Pax, a couple friends have it and i cant say much good about other than it looks cool. I didnt really enjoy it myself either. Hope this helps

Hey Bro If you are having trouble getting good soil mix you can get the miracle grow orchid mix and they will like it better.

F*ck!!! Yellow, You Moldy B*tch!!

So I'm back from my trip. Had a great time. Peek in on the girls and figured it about time to harvest. I start off with Yellow. Remember that short compact structure with the tight internodes that I was sooo happy about? Not only did it make it a bit more of a pain to manicure, also I discovered mold  Yellow had the most dense main cola, with the greatest width....air just wasn't making it's way to the center.

Obviously, I need to add more circulation, probably another fan in the cab. Also plant them higher within in the pot would've helped. My humidity wasn't too bad.

I trashed all that was moldy and then some, given I'm sure there are spore I just wont be able to see. My question is, Is it worth it to dry and cure what seems unaffected? Or is it just better off to chalk this up as an L and plan for a better grow next time around? The other girls look okay thus far. However, I know spores travel.

Trimmed. Drying under way...

So I've trimmed and hung Blue and Green. The salvage remnants of Yellow aren't on the stem, so they're more so laid out to dry in a separate location from the others. Wet yield collectively was 5 oz, which will probably end up somewhere around 1.25 - 1.66 oz. It's pretty light and about half of what I hoped I'd minimally get, but I'll take it obviously as well as the lessons I've learned. Taking into account the soil, pH fluctuations, mold, and other factors, I'm not really surprised.

I'll take some time off then get the next grow up and running with corrections made. Can't wait:D
