looking at buying a couple of the bossled 800w are they any good? growing with platinum p600 at the moment .

They use epistsr LEDs making them close to the same as kind or mars. A better choice would be to use a panel with Cree LEDs. They give more photons and less heat compared to epistar which is the opposite

IMO better go with HPS than chinese LEDs (including Mars). Heat is the same, HPS have still better penetration than Epistar.
COBs is way to go for sure. Or CMH.
