- fine-ass '22 harvest!
... read the flushing Myth thread in the Myth-Busters section,... you'll find fights over this from all angles! I think with careful feeding using synthetics, and your fan leaves are showing signs of proper tapping into for what mobile nutes are needed, then a shorter cleansing (as opposed to flush, which to me means purging the medium of build-up's) period is fine,... I think "flushing" can be carried too far, too long... For those that feed aggressively, had recent burning problems, and didn't do a true soil/soilless medium flush (as in copious amounts of water put through the pot), then a week plus may be called for because the soil/medium may still have a lot of locked up nutes in it still,... many use clearing agents to help facilitate this, which helps knock loose bound up ions in the medium,... Flushing is a lousy term for this in general, but it's the conventional term for now,... It creates confusion, a misnomer, since absolutely nothing is getting literally flushed out of the plant via roots, the process of ion transport simply doesn't work like that.... stuff like extra NPK doesn't ever exit out of the plant.... One of my mentors here coined the term cleansing for this reason,... certain extra nutrients can be stored by the plant, and that's what we want to make sure isn't still banked in the tissues by harvest,....
Personally, I taper off the higher P stuff by late bloom, and bias more towards K (higher K numbers going in vs P), make sure a little extra S is going in, and Mn (micronutrient; I use Earth Juice Microblast, which compounds many of these micro's as a sulfate, 2 birds down right there!)... all of which are key in terpene productions... the last week-10 days I go light on any feeds, as the uptake/water use starts to slow down a lot by then,....
...looking at your plants, I don't see much leaf tapping, but you tell me, pics don't show me much otherwise,... you may want to go a week with water only, maybe include a clearing agent,... next time you water, water well enough to get about a cup of run-off; collect that in a clean saucer, and test it with a TDS meter... this will show you how much salt build-up is in there.... huge number ppm's may call for an actual flushing,...
