Grow Room Bucket spacing

The buckets I bought seem to stack without adding much height. My stack of 4 buckets only seems to add about 6 inches to the top. This would make the total height about 20 inches.

Throw in the smartpot and ufo led light and now the plant only has about 10 inches of height to go before canopy is directly on the light.

Is there anything I can do to get some more space before I start cutting these buckets up?

I Checked out everyone else's builds before I built mine, got some great ideas. Then chose bits for what best suits your application and build around that. Some people stack them up 5ft. Here's a link to mine.

Mine's 26" all put together 16 in from the pot to the the light. Have a couple of spacers built if I need to raise it a few inches as well.

I think I will go there route of putting two buckets together by flipping one. I just need to make sure I give myself a way to pull the top bucket off for easier watering and maintenance.

Will be running coco and hand watering so will likely have to water multiple times a day within a few weeks.

Yea that was the most cost efficient for me. Stacking all those buckets gets a bit costly $$$$$. I made mine into 3 pieces the top, the middle bucket section, and then the bottom. Both ends still using a lid. Made for easy disassembly and checking in. I'm running a mini dwc unit in mine so daily check in is a must.
