Is that what this is? It's only affecting a few leaves right now- new ones.

It doesn't look like cal def but you should be using cal/mag anyway.I wouldn't worry aout those spots unless they get worse or start to spread.

I really had to look for the "spots".

With ya namvet. If it spreads and gets worse then there is an issue. Nothing in nature is perfect and this grow looks nice and green. My experience has been that my girls liked a bit more of cal-mag supplement in FLOWER. Adding a cal-mag supplement is a good idea and will keep the cal-mag def's in check later on in FLOWER.

G'-- ...early symptoms can overlap in appearance, so it's a tough call, but some defc. is starting,... given what I read, the flush likely stripped everything out, beside the extra N,.. usually, it's advised to include a very mild dose of nutes (about 1/8 strength) and especially Ca-Mg in that final pour,...even more important when using coco, since there's nothing in there otherwise, unlike true soil,... what I see could pass for Ca defc., but these larger necrotic patches are not the typical symptom,... affected leaves are higher up, right? ... also could be P defc.,... which GH line are you using? Flora, Duo, Nova..? And are you blending them according to the feeding chart recommendations?..

Didn't mean to be flip about your spots. Besides they look very healthy and in general going along nicely. Coco needs to cal-mag supplemented as a rule.

Good looking plants though.

Yeah, I usually do.. but I did the flush thinking in my mind I was over-nuting, so I guess I kind of overcompensated by not putting anything in the last couple gallons. Oh well, live n learn. Thanks for your thoughts on this, I sure appreciate it.

Yeah, I realize it's not that bad yet... mostly I'm new at this so I wanted to see if my suspicions were right, so I could take corrective action before it got worse. I actually gave her a half-strength mix with a full-strength calmag dose before I made this thread, I just didn't trust my own judgement. Anyways, thanks so much for taking the time to weigh in.

Yeah, whenever I've done this before I have put 1/4-1/2 strength nutes in the final pour, but I just laid off this time because, like I was just sayin', I was walking on eggshells about over-nuting.

Anyways, I'm using the Flora series, but mostly just Micro:Bloom in the 6:9 lucas ratio, although I tweak it and add/substitute things here and there, and usually add 5ml calmag. On my last feeding before the flush, I cut down on the bloom and added some Liquid KoolBloom, which is just a PK boost. From memory, I think it was 6 Micro, 5 Bloom, and 5 LKB, plus 5 calMag, and I think I had 2ml Rapid Start in there too. Kind of a heavy feed, but she's 5+ weeks and vegging fast, plus I only feed 2x/week. And yeah, the affected leaves are all very new growth. I gave her calmag this morning, so hopefully it doesn't spread much. Anyways, thanks for the input. Really appreciate it!

Please be as flip as you want.. I'm just happy to have another set of eyes on it- thanks again!

..lessee,...Micro~ 5-0-1....Bloom~ 0-5-4,... yeah, decent amount of P going in for this stage, whatever the ratio, Lucas or GH's feed chart, plus that LKB dose... and P defc. hits lower leaves first usually, being mobile,... Oh!-- how about an in-pot pH? Not that I see anything off per se, but it's always good data to have for diagnostics! ... I'm still leaning toward Ca defc., so you're on the way ti fixing already-...have you done foliar sprays before? A very handy method to have under your skills belt, for treating defc.'s and pests; it's also the very fastest way into the plant, bypassing any potential prob's down "under",... works brilliantly on Ca-Mg defc.! A quality sprayer and some water spreader/wetting agent are key things for this... the spreader reduced the surface tension of the water/soln. you're spraying, so coats and sticks more evenly, which means more surface area covered = more absorbed... get tops and bottoms of leaves!... let dry slowly away from direct intense light, but make sure she's dry before lights out to avoid inviting molds,... Give it a try :smoke: bottle might give dosing for foliar, if not, go about 1/2 strg.,....:goodluck:

When you mix the foliar nutrients and use it in a sprayer. The small amount in the sprayer, let's say 3 cups will only be a small amount actually sprayed on plant. My question is how long can the foliar nutrients be stored in the sprayer before you need to replace it. Or how will the nutrients be effective w/o replacing? Do you use new nutrients for each spray or do you keep the foliar nutrients and use them until it's finished?
