Hi people.

-Problem: I found what looks like a nutrient deficiency today in 2 places on the ultimate at the top leaves of the canopy next to 2 flowers (not on the highest central cola though). most of the top leaves are looking droopy. Am I right in thinking this is a calcium deficiency?

-Medium/grow method: Soil (plant magic supreme), 11L fabric pots

-Feed and supplements used: Plant magic oldtimer bloom (NPK 3-5-4) at 3ml/L, feeding every watering, every 2nd day with a small watering can.

-Water source: I'm using tap water 3L per watering. I leave it out for 2 days in an open container before adding nutes. It's normally ~8.3pH before nutes, then 4.5pH after bloom nutrients, then I add potassium bicarbonate to get the pH up to ~6.3 (could this be too much potassium?). I don't own a EC or TDS meter unfortunetly, planning on getting one for the next grow.

-Strain and age: Dutch passion auto ultimate, 38 days old

-Climate: Day time 24-27C, night time ~18C, 45-50% RH.

-Light used: 400W MH with cool tube; light cycle 20/4, 8 inches from top

-Additional info: Preflowers started to show around a week and a half ago. Switched to bloom nutrients 3 days ago, never used calmag, although I have ordered some just incase (due to arrive on Monday). I added 1g of plant magic old timer magnesium (MgO 16.7%, SO3 33.3%) per liter at day 25.

The ultimate is the plant on the left

I think there is P deficiency going on at the top perhaps with some Ca also. And I think these symptoms are just due to light stress because you are running the light very close to the canopy. Bring the light up, douple the distance for a while at least to give them a breather and see how they react. I'd bet the plants will perk up.
