:peace: Hey Guys,
Am a first time grower here, am doing Northern Light Blue Auto coming to the third week in coco with 250 W CFL 6400 K in 60 cm x 60 cm x 1.4 m. Few days ago I was told by someone I could put another bulb in to give them even more light, and that I could use the 2700 K that I got for the "flowering stage". Do you have any experiences in this area? Would it be good for the plants in their seedling stage to get also light that is really meant for flowering?
I would welcome all positive and constructive suggestions and thoughts on this. Thank you :peace:

Yes, you can add in the 2700k bulb and widen the spectrum a bit. As long as the majority of your wattage is from the 6400k bulbs you'll be fine.

Thanks Muddy for your answer to my question. You suggested that if the majority of light is blue spectrum (6400K) then it should be fine. What would happen if I had one red 2700K 250 W with one blue 6400K 250 W in ratio 50 % to 50 %? Would that be causing anything bad or unwanted?

Cheers. :smokebuds:

With them that strong you should be okay.

yes mate you can do that its like having a dual spectrum bulb :peace: Si

Interestingly, I've just started a grow using (both actual power draw) 100w CFL 6400ºK and 120w LED 6 band, majority red spectrum, but also blue, IR and UV.
Despite the CFL being closer and straight up, all the 5 plants started to grow sideways looking for the LED. Pics in my diary (sig) if anyone interested.

So yeah, if electric bills are not a problem, the more the better.

Hi guys, just giving a feedback,

The
red and blue together did a fantastic job.
