Sorry mate but it's designed for CFL bulbs only... 150 or 200 watt at most?!..
HPS lights require an additional ballast...
Hope this helps... easy now...

Thanks mate that's great
How Whould I fair with 2 plants under it

Not that great really! the light spread isn't that great... It'd do you for one directly under it... raising it as the plant grows... topped and trained to get an even canopy!.. if you're new to growing itd be okay if it's a gift... ideal just to give you an idea how a plant grows... by harvest you'll prolly wish you had a more powerful lamp.... It'd be okay to keep for seedlings or mother plants... good luck with it tho... easy now...

You can stick a 300W Dual Spec CFL in and grow 2 plants no problem. I started with a 200W CFL and managed fine until I upgraded.

Considering that a 300 watt CFL costs around $99 ( Amazon ), and are horribly inefficient, even a cheap Burple LED light will grow more bud. In fact, Mars Htydro now has a White LED light that will stomp a CFL for light output and efficiency, for $79.00! It produces 3 times as much light and will last ten times longer. Worth your time to take a look.
