I've got a set of ak-49 autos that were germinated on May 6. The girls are just starting to form buds (see picture). The Geneticists responsible for this strain claim a 9 week bean to bud period, but I plan on going 10 minimum.

Now, in order to save $ on beanstalk (stock), I'm going to do a half doz cuttings for cloning. I've read that you don't want to clone from a plant in flower...

Seeking opinions on this issue... I DO have a single 3 week old just coming into size range for cuttings... should I wait for the little one?

Not a great idea to clone autos, because the clones will be the same age as the mother(s)
That means you can't veg them, leading them to flower as soon as the take root (if they do take root). So it may be a waste
Beans are expensive but next time think about making your own feminized seeds
Take a look at:

The brown leaves are proximity burn from the CFLs... it's crowded in that box!

Thank you :) I have that attempt planned, my friend. Planned on using either Soma's method with Gibberellic acid or the Rodelization method.

You're welcome but at this point I think its to late to clone or create feminized seeds
Try using Colloidal Silver. Check out bob.bitchin threads he know his stuff

I appreciate it. Looks like it's time to adjust the plan for a bit further down the road. Have 5 beans left. Is there a thread or other resource on cloning that you'd recommend?
