Indoor Can I run a 250w MH bulb on a 400w dimmable ballast if it's on 50%?

im not sure but wouldnt try it as reducing the light(dimmer) does not change the firing voltage or running ohms, the ballast still runs at the same firing i think, but reduces power output, so it would prob pop as 400watt ignitor kicks in!

Nope, dont do it. Unless you want a glass bomb going off in your grow setup!

dont know either way but i have a dimmable lumatek 600watt and it says its fine to use 400 watts/MH etc in it though it does have the setting for that.
is that one digital?
