my tent can easily hold four plants but i had to push all the pots together just to get it under my 400w hps cool tube.

Do i need a large reflector hood? Im not sure if anybody has a similar cool tube but the reflector is kinda pathetic u can hardly see it in the photo its so small.

so basically my problem is..

1. If i spread my pots out comfortably with some space between them that leaves 1 or 2 plants pretty much not under the light, and the other 2 directlly underneath taking most of the light.

2. if i push all the pots together under the cool tube as the plants get older get older they start covering each other.

can somebody give me some advice to get the most out of my 400w hps or even share how u use your cool tube with your tent. :toke:

thanks for reading happy growing :pimp:

cool tubes have always been a poor choice

the newer cool tubes have better hoods and there plenty of air cooler reflectors that are not tube

you might be better taking the reflector off if close to a reflective ceiling

I have that cool tube, I love it but my grow spaces are narrow. I plan on doing what you're describing but rotating daily so they get prime light every other day. In my head I say I'm just mimicking cloudy/sunny weather. I just read somewhere that it's okay to get a cool tube within six inches of the canopy, haven't tried it yet though.

They will help spread the light out covering more grow space.

Since my cool tube doesn't have a large reflector. ( currently trying to save for a large air cooled hood ). How many plants do u guys recommend I put under my 400w hps cool tube?
