Hi guys..

just recently purchased a new polaroid sound system with 5 speakers and sub woofer to match my TV. But there seems to be a fault with the power supply maybe? It It goes off and won't come back on unless you literally slap the shit outta the side of of it. This sounds to me like there's a loose connection somewhere? I've no experience with electrical at all.

any help would be great. I really can't be bothered packing it all up and sending It back to engerland!

I'll get pics now

thanks

Hey buddy, where you been? Glad to see you back anyway.. I'm no electrian but check for a fuse

Hey man. Put new fuse in tonight which works in another plug also. There's no break in the wire.. i think it's something to do withthe thing he red and black wires connect to inside the box... In above pics.

Been gone a while buddy but I'm back. Be dropping some beans next few days.

It's strange because the first day I got it worked fine. Now when I go to plug into into TV it doesn't. .

If you just purchased it I'd suggest a warranty claim or return it for a new one.. if you try to fix it yourself you'll most likely void the warranty. Intermittent electrical issues are often times very tricky to hunt down. My electrical experience is more motor control/plc/residential but if there's a loose connection on the motherboard if you have no electrical experience the last place you want to learn to solder is there.. check all your external connections. Verify with a multimeter your getting voltage from your outlet to the device.. could it be the power button isn't clicking and then you slap it and works again? Good luck man let me know what you find

Anytime man wish I could help more on the situation. It's one of those "make them figure it out" type of moments. Atleast while you still have a manufacturers warranty =p
