Anyone have experience with putting Canna Oil in capsules? I’m doing a 2 week trip (no Refridgeration) and was thinking of the best way to bring meds.

I do that a lot using unstrained oil.
First decarb the herb, and grind to fine powder.
Optimal decarb is 240 F for 40 min.

Here's a recipe for enough oil to exactly fill 50 size 00 capsules with about 25 mg thc each:
(7.5 Decarbed Herb Powder) + (30 grams AnyOil) + (7.5 grams Lecithin) = 50 Caps
Capsules are best filled using a capsule holding device, and a candy dropper, while keeping the mixture very warm.

I'd guess straining removes about 25% of the medicine.

I've been experimenting with capsules for sleep using Magical Butter Machine, Ardent FX, and BrassNwood's popular GrassCity method.
My first purchase was MBM because I thought agitation was needed for infusion.
But I was wrong, because the other two methods have no agitation, and produce pills that are just as good.
I now mostly use Ardent FX because it's the simplest.

We've been having good luck using the Ardent and MCT oil. It doesn't need to be refridgerated. Might be worth a try if you need it stable for travel. I don't know about filling capsules though.

Forgive my ignorance, do you keep it in oil form or make gummies? I’m doing the Grand Canyon for 2 weeks and am trying to decide the best way to bring canna with me Discreetly.

She just keeps a little jar of oil and doses as needed. Small 1-2ml with a plastic syringe. Haven't quite gotten to making candies yet.

00 caps hold .95 ml. Say you want to make them 100mg per cap of your chosen 1 gram of concentrate.
.95 x 10 = 9.5 ml. Minus 1 ml to account for your 1 gram of oil/concentrate. You need to add your oil to 8.5
ml MCT oil, I use organic coconut oil. I add sunflower lecithin. Put it in a Pyrex measuring cup and seal good
with foil. Bake on cookie sheet 240F for 60 min. I freeze over nite, let come to room temp and bake again at 240F
for another hour. I make mine 6 per gram 167mg for insomnia and they are damn strong. They don't knock me straight
out, I take them at 7 pm and usually can get to sleep by 12. Those 5 hours in the evening I am stoned to the bone.

I make em all the time, and they're sooo great! I sous vide decarb in a mason jar for 2 hours at 202, then add mct oil and hit it for 4 hours at 185. Rough drain with a screen and use a syringe and blunt tip needle to fill caps as needed. No idea on the strength as I've never tested, but do it with an ounce of bud and just break off the big stems. Every batch is slightly different, sometimes I add in some cbd oil to make it more of a daytime cap. I use different capsule colors for day/night.

I made 2 cups coconut oil infused with 1 oz of bud. I usually make gummies, but I am looking for something that can travel without refrigeration. I plan on liquifying 1 stick of infused coconut oil and making 00 capsules.

any issues with what I am planning?
