Currently working in a 36”x24”x60” tent. Using an Amazon 600watt LED. I’m always looking to do better on my next grow so I’d like to focus on the lighting next.

I was debating on a Vivosun 600watt hps or a COB. The trouble is being new to growing, I’m not sure where to invest the money. Would the HPS light be too hot for my small tent? Would adding just 1 COB be enough?

I’d like to stay around $150 on a supplemental light but if that’s not reasonable, I can adjust.

Thanks in advance for your patience with my newby questions!

What I am working with
LED Grow Light 600W Full Spectrum Indoor Grow Lights For Medicinal Plants Veg&Flower in Greenhouse Tent Plant(Replaced 600W HPS light, actual Power Consumption 90-110W) Amazon product ASIN B074MBV5GF
Debating this Vivosun 600watt HPS...

hello mate i think the 600 might be a bit much with the heat the cool hood might help with tht but cobs are a good option for small spaces if your interested there is a vendor here on site called big sam he sells cobs and will answer any questions you have heres a link to his section https://www.autoflower.org/forums/cobshop-net.425/

With HID lights it's all about the reflector you choose - air cooled is a must. I use a 1000 watt HID light with an air cooled reflector and barely feel any heat from it 12 inches below the glass. In other words, heat is not a factor.
