I have two choices of coco-coir, which would you choose? Specs differ a bit so not sure which one to get.

Option 1
-pH: 4.78
-EC: 4.85 dS/m
Option 2:
-pH: 5
-EC: 2,15 mS/cm

Plan to have some coco hempy buckets under COB LEDs with Green Leaf nutes.
Thanks!

Edit note: I would go for a coco with similar profile to the brands i see people use here in the forums. But I noticed in the pictures of the brands most use here in the forums that the packages dont have this info specified. The coco i can get where I live has ph, ec, and other info always printed on it. Thas why i ask.

Sorry for late answer:

Option 2.
The EC is already very high, but Option 1 is crazy high.

Wash, wash, wash, and buffer with Ca Mg.

thanks! we bought both to test out... but both recieved good rinses and buffering and ended up working well.. now we have another source for coir that has been working quite well and doesn't need rinsing or buffering with out being more expenisve! downside is it seems to have spring tails... but don't seem malignant so far.

Cool. Any experience or thoughts on buffering coco without using the usual CaMg supplements?
E.g. using some high CaMg organic fert, or regular fert that also has good CaMg??

Apparently it will work. The Ca Mg in whatever solution will push out the K from the cation sites on the coco,
and then the K will go into the solution, and all that can then be rinsed / washed out.
Even if the original buffering solution already has high K, the Ca Mg will be bound, and the K free to flush.
