Whats up guys, thinking about a new medium for my next grow  Had some trouble with soil the first time.

The first time around I used:
3 Gallon pots
80% FoxFarm Ocean Forest
20% Peat moss
Cal-mag
FloraGrow 2-1-6
FloraNova Bloom 4-8-7

Heard great things about FFoF.,., it seemed to do great for the first 2-3 weeks, but after that, PH was going crazy for me, always pouring in correct PH solution, but runoff came out acidic as hell! Like 4.0 or less! The whole flushing 3 times the amount of the pot size, (so 9 gallons for me) got kind of old after the first couple girls. Especially when using a single 1 gallon jug lol

After much reading, Coco seems to be the best option for me. Because I'm really looking to go hydro but don't want to deal with switching setups completely on only my second time around. With Coco I can keep my setup much like it is.

So, to the point, I have come up with this recipe based off what I've read. Some people say to add worm castings, or epsom salt, but I don't know much about these so I left them out for now  I'd love to hear any suggestions, looking to put the best mix together as I can! Put pics to be specific

Second round mix:
2 Gallon pots
70% Coco Coir
30% Perlite
Hydroton on bottom 1 inch of pot
Hydroton on top 1 inch or so after plant grows a little
Calmag

and the last nutes is where I'm a bit lost too.. So many to choose from.. Is it worth getting something Coco specific like AN's Perfect Sensi Coco Grow?? Or should I just stick to regular nutes, like the ones I've been using or similar.

Definitely am going to need a larger percentage PK mix to help the buds pack on some weight. Only had 4-7-8 for bloom nutes and didn't seem to be enough to get 'em heavy.

Once again, any comments or thoughts would be appreciated! Let me know what I can throw in there! :coffee2:

Anyone have any opinions on the new recipe??

About time for me to start putting it all together :smokebuds:

Coco/hydro nutes work best when using coco AB. Maintain a nutrient pH of 5.8 until flowering and keep around 6.0 thereafter.. A PK booster will help with adding weight. Your mix should be fine. Make sure to rinse hydroton in water at pH 5.8.. You can water through your mix with a 25% dose of calmag...Relax and grow...Good luck... "AFN smoke out"
