How will I achieve run off when using a drip system that only feeds small amount serval times a day? Probably in flower aiming for 500ml 4 times a day depending on the size. I don't get how I will get run off when feeding small amounts. Any ideas on this? Thanks

If the amount your pushing on the thru the drip system Isnt getting runoff then up the amount at each feeding until you achieve your goal.

Or too it off by hand. Just my two cents

You could add a product called Drip Clean by House and Garden, it is supposed to prevent salt/nute build up in your medium.
only need a small 250ml bottle cos its given at 0.1ml/L. Works for me, I mainly water to little or no run off, occasionally I do water to run off and I keep a cheap aquavac handy to suck it up.

I'm a fan of 3 gallon. Containers. But I hand feed. Looking forward to this

Yeah me too but I'm going to be drip feeding for the first time and I have heard that smaller pots = hydro results for drip feeding. I'll probably have time to make a journal on this grow as I won't be hand watering everyday and will have more time to document it. I'm waiting on the new GN panels and then I'll be doing 3 auto glueberry ogs, so I'm super excited to get this up and running.

I used to run the drip system biggest pot I used was a 5 uk gallon but mainly used 10 ltr airpots I never ran runoff every single feeding just once a week (I also used drip clean) just manually run your drip system once a week till you see run off and your good to go

I used to use the Tropf Blumat system for dripping, it was excellent, maintaining perfect watering levels, using simple clay sensors that detect moisture levels in the medium and drip feed accordingly. Worth having a look, cheap, easy to set up, no moving parts, no electricity, but great results. There's no over or under watering.

I had 2 drippers per 20L airpot for 3 airpots and was very happy, but you can't tailor feeds for individual plants unless you hand water on top of the blumats, plus you cant move or rotate the plants easily. It's perfect for a single plant.

BTW.... if you use Drip Clean, you HAVE to use it from the start, NEVER mid way through a grow, as it will release the already built up nute in the medium and overdose the plants!!!!!!
