Hi all.

A simple question from a newbee. I'm doing a seed run with MI5. I have read on AFN that 3 different phenos from a strain usually have the same taste and smoke etc, But what about colour? I have 3 plants, about to yank the male as there is just one month to go before harvesting the seeds from the 2 females and happily both girls are heavily pregnant with about 2000 seeds forming. But looking at the two female plants they are not ony different in branching but one is far lighter in colour than the other. Both have had the same food (Advanced nutrients) in biobizz lightmix. Is this colour difference normal?
:peace:
Thank you all.

The ones I have grown have, on the scale of these things, had dark green leaves. I have noticed a genetic fault in mine. The fingers of the leaves do not spread enough and shade each other.

Some color variation can occur with different phenotypes. I've found with Mi5 that the single cola with less side branching tends to have darker leaves, fox tails a bit and generally finishes a week or so earlier that the multi branched pheno.

Thank you muddy.
Still on the subject of MI5 is it best in a dutch climate to harden off mi5 and only putting them outside permanently when the leaves have turned dark green?
Also,it seems from what i have read on AFN that experienced auto growers state that growing autos outside tends to take up to 2 weeks longer than growing the same strain indoors?
Be thrilled if you could answer these last 2 questions as the summer is looming and my pregnant 2 MI5 girls will be unloading a load of seeds but im frustrated with these last 2 questions up in the air.
A million thanx.

Yes, they should be hardened off first. Generally speaking I start putting my plants outdoors for a few hours a day, increasing it daily, starting when they have about 3-4 nodes, before they start to show sex. By the time they are showing sex they should then be ready to plant outdoors.

Yes, with less light outdoors compared to indoors under 18/6 or 20/4, autos do go about 1-2 weeks longer. At least that's been my experience.
