Compost/living soil from nature??

@DTOM420 Here is something else I am playing around with , Microbe farming  What I am doing is having soil in different areas in the yard to gather a full range of microbes , so the theory goes . First photo is my base soil .The other soils are made with different inputs and will be used combined in small amounts , added to the main soil .

The interesting thing about this , is the different tines of year . We are now going into the wet season , so things are getting active , I will be doing this all year long , as I believe at different times of year where will be different microbes at play . I do feed these soils -- Molasses -- Fish Hydrolysate -- Cow Dung , All these soils I have made . Soon I am going to make a leaf litter compost inside the Rain forest of leaf litter from this years fall .

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I’ve been swamped at work and haven’t been on here as much as I was. That’s awesome and identical to what Korean Natural Farming (KNF) does with IMO or Indigenous Micro Organisms. They use rice to attract the local microbes and then put brown sugar on them to suspend them in stasis for storage. Eventually you use a tiny bit of IMO in a aerated tea to add the various microbes to your soil. It’s fascinating stuff and I’m trying to learn enough to start practicing it. It’s very inexpensive aside from the tea maker. Have you ever heard of KNF?

Chris Trump has probably the best best videos on the various KNF practices and he’s considered the foremost expert in the US on KNF. Here’s his first video on the first stage of IMO or, IMO-1

And here’s his overview called “All About IMO” it’s not a quick video but he has a great way of explaining the theory so you grasp the entire concept......

I wonder if anyone else here on AFN is doing this type of stuff? It’s be great to get a thread going with this type of methodology. KNF keyholes/dovetails perfectly with TLO and No Till. In fact, I was just listening to a 2hr podcast panel discussion with a bunch of growers and Chris Trump (who does not grow cannabis) on the “420 Resistance Live” by “TrickyDLabs” on YouTube. They had a great panel discussion with Clackamas Coot just before the episode with Chris Trump. Hope you’ll find some of it interesting.
