Cupped and clawed seedling

2ml per L is your half stregth? That is strong. Also, may I ask why you are watering around the stem? Roots SEEK moisture. Water around the OUTSIDE of the pot. Coco is like a sponge. Your outer edges look SUPER dry. Watering around the outside makes the roots grow faster, because they will seek moisture. Once you have good roots, water to run off.

I watered around the drip line of the plant with the thought that the roots would be seeking moisture. Now I know how I should be watering so I will water around the edges of the pot.

I’ll also back off on my nutes to 1/4 strength at 1 ml/L Sensi A&B, 0.5 ml/L Voodoo juice, and 0.5 ml/L Calmag.

In the spirit of doing the best I can with growing, I’ve ordered a better pH pen. It should be here tomorrow and I can use my current pen as a backup.

Update: I have now mixed up 1/4 nutes (pH 6.1) and given a good feed to all plants. The coco was well wetted without run off. At this point I’ll keep an eye on the new growth and with any luck it will get back to growing again. These two sick plants are considerably smaller than the other two and if I had to guess, the healthy plants are probably small for their age. I’ve also employed a plantless pot full of coco two help me feel the difference between a dry and wet pot.

@Beerhunter CDN It is not easy listening to so many opinions at once but everything I have read in here is good advice even if a little overwhelming. Here is a rep slap for being a good sport and learning to be a better farmer.:slap:.

Thank you @Mañ'O'Green

I believe every grower here wants great yields and quality buds. We all have to start somewhere and this site has been one of the best I’ve read for advice and knowledge. I appreciate everyone’s effort to help. I know there is more than one way to grow these plants well so I take note of what I think applies to me. If I mess it up then I’ve learned something new. I had originally planned on soil grows but changed my mind and tried coco to start so I’m clearly not as knowledgeable with that medium. I expected my first grow to be less than stellar so getting them to the finish line intact is really all that I can expect. Thank you again!

Day 18 - plants are recovering!!

Watering daily with 1/4 strength nutes.

Bubbly Livers - she got the shit end of the stick and is stunted the worst but coming around. New growth looks pretty good.

GWK - looking good I think. I like to smell the plants (weird I know). When I rub a leaf on this one it actually smells faintly like grape.

4AM - also stunted but she looks like she is recovering well. I’m looking forward to seeing her finished.

AvT - is a stinky, little thing. She is growing well now. I noticed a “skin” coming off of her main stem which if I recall is a sign of rapid growth. I’ve also noticed the purple colour has left the stems.

I believe my plants are back on track now; I’ll do my best to keep them there. This will be the end of my Infirmary thread and I’ll continue to update in my New Growers grow journal. Thank you @Mañ'O'Green @slowandeasy @Waira

Looking much better! I like the color of the Coco better! Keep it moist not super soaked and you will do great. You were on the dry side, but now you know what "too dry" is. So it's all good. Happy New year and good luck
