Hi all,

About one month ago, I had to prematurely harvest two plants, one of which I dried too quickly and the other that did not have enough time to dry.

I'm attempting to cure the flowers that were dried too quickly, but that may be a lost cause. For the plant that did not have enough time to dry, I trimmed and placed the flowers into curing jars. I burp them once a day for a few minutes. One month later, the stems still bed (no snap), taste is okay and effect is mediocre.

Question is - should I remove these from the jar and place them in a drying rack or cardboard box to dry more then place them back into jars or leave them curing in jars? The humidity in the curing area is anywhere from 55% to 63%.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

ChaoticGood

You can put them in a paper bag also or just spread them out on a table for a few hours then back into the jars.Do this until the stems snap and they should be ready to go back into the jar for curing.

Thank you namvet25.

Any suggestions for the plant that dried too quickly? They are in jars curing for noe and the hay smell is slowly dissipating. Outsides are dry to touch with a little bit of stickiness...

They'll be fine. Just put some lemon peel or whatever in the jar with them till rehydrated and then work them as you are doing the other batch.

in the summer I can hang until the cows come home and nothing dries. In the winter it is too dry before I even remember I have harvested. Both can be dealt with. I use these little stones in metal humidifiers. Soak one for 10 minutes or 24 hours and it will keep a jar moist for 24 hours. I don't use jars most of the time. I cut into 8 or ten inch branches and lay down in a wooden crate with slats in shredded paper. I inherited a paper shredder and it is a handy little tool. Quality of paper can add that finishing touch. I like sandwich bags. I have some pot right now that went into a jar in the summer. It smells like ammonia. But it will get me stoned I guess. I smoke a little every month just to see. Wet or dry pot is not a problem for me because I smoke 50/50 tobacco pot joints. Pot too wet I have dry tobacco. Pot too dry I have wet tobacco.

Thank you, I can see how your method would work autogogo. The one issue in my case is that I had to harvest early so I'm trying to spare anything I can. I don't mind dry or wet either except that wet ones are are a little hard to light and are obviously not dry enough. The main intention here is to try to save some bud from an unfortunate early harvest and wondering if potency is still possible.
